With non-core materials, everything is easier, what to hide, many have items that are "C grade, and it's normal." But even in such a difficult situation, one should show perseverance and conscientiously understand the material.

And now my son goes to school. Reluctantly. He is not interested there. Indeed, I think a few school subjects often do not concern the interests of the child's soul at all.

I thought: the child was born to learn, so he will learn. It is enough to teach him to read and enjoy reading. Today my son says: "Why did I go to school for nine years, four would have been enough."
Of the nine school years, Ivan studied at home for five years, using textbooks. At the end of each quarter I went to school, wrote a test - usually a C. And great! I said.
Here's what's funny. Usually a child spends almost the whole day at school, sometimes he doesn’t even have time to take a walk (fees, preparations, homework, the way to school and back). My son spent two hours a day studying. The rest of the time he lived like a river that finds its own course.
I taught him only happiness.
I thought: if the son learns to be happy, he will easily arrange his life in the future.
Now he is quite (or even very) happy person.
It's funny (naturally?) that Ivan became successful in precisely those sciences that he did not study at school. Once he mastered the computer, learned English language learned to sing and play the guitar. Now the synthesis of these skills is his job and his favorite thing.
Finally, I will say: I do not urge anyone to pick up children from school and teach at home.
I only urge you to admit: when you meet a child with the question: "well, how are things at school?" - you only care about your peace.
