About the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment
The Ukrainian Center for Assessment of the Quality of Education was established in 2005 to implement the Decree of the President of Ukraine "On urgent measures to ensure the functioning and development of education in Ukraine", the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "Some issues of introducing external independent assessment and monitoring of the quality of education", the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine " On urgent measures to introduce external independent assessment and monitoring of the quality of education”.
In its activities, the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment is guided by the Constitution and laws of Ukraine, acts of the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, orders of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Since 2006, there have been nine regional centers for assessing the quality of education, which are located in the cities of Vinnitsa, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kiev, Lvov, Odessa, Simferopol and Kharkov.
The activities of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment are aimed at developing and testing models of external independent assessment of knowledge of general education students. educational institutions to create conditions for equal access to higher education. The Ukrainian Center focuses on improving the technological aspects of external independent evaluation, filling the bank test items, dissemination of information about external independent testing among the student and pedagogical community.
The main tasks of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment (UCQOQ):
preparation for an external independent assessment;
monitoring the quality of education;
conducting socio-psychological research and certification of teaching staff;
maintaining a register of persons who have passed an external independent assessment;
registration and issuance of certificates to persons who have passed external independent evaluation;
providing information on the results of external independent assessment at the request of general education and higher educational institutions.
