IN AND. Govorov

Three Harmonic Beginnings

“Again, everything froze until dawn -
The door does not creak, the fire does not break out.
Only heard - on the street somewhere
Harmony wanders alone:
Then he will go to the fields, beyond the gates,
It will come back again
As if looking in the dark for someone
And he can't find it."

M.V. Isakovskiy, Russian Piit

Winter holidays have come, in which the main Heroes are our Fairy-tale Santa Claus and Granddaughter Snow Maiden. Mathematicians are also not alien to the festive mood, and as a gift from Santa Claus "New Year's mathematical riddle." It should be noted that in the fairy tale the Snow Maiden was fashioned by Baba, therefore it is more correct to consider the Snow Maiden the Granddaughter of Baba, and not Santa Claus. So, the riddle:

“There is Father Frost and Granddaughter Snegurochka. The Snow Maiden was fashioned by Baba. Determine the Tilt of the Earth's Axis.

Answer - Tilt of the Earth's Axis 23,24 0 . To check, look in astronomical reference books. This is me to the fact that the riddle is very serious in its "comic", it would seem, form. It is solved in "two accounts" under one more condition - you need to know and understand the Russian Mathematical Language, as well as take into account the unevenness of the Summer and Winter cycles, and the physical properties of bodies expand when heated, and shrink when cooled. Time, which is denoted by Beech "Water", also has similar properties, only Water also "expands" when cooled. And to further confuse the issue in modern "physics", Time and Temperature are denoted by the same letter.

The same thing happens with Harmony. If we are not yet able to give an Accurate and Complete Definition of Harmony, on what basis can we say that we are talking about Harmony itself?

IN AND. Dahl gives the following definition:

"HARMONY" - conformity, consonance, proportionality, balance, uniformity, equivalence, reciprocity, correlation, agreement, consonance, agreement, harmony, orderliness; proportionate ratio of parts of the whole; the correct relationship of simultaneous or modern sounds, chord; the very science of consonances. Harmonic, slender, consonant, proportionate, well-built, consonant. to harmonize, to answer, to match, to harmonize, to resonate; to be under one, match, suit, fit.

And where is the correspondence to a certain “one parameter of harmony”, when the very “correspondence” presupposes the presence of several compared values. A.S. Pushkin correctly pointed out that after checking only one “algebra” of Harmonia, a “corpse” remains. Therefore, the development of the Theory of Harmony goes with the inclusion of the following components - Russian Language, Sacred Orthodox arithmetic, geometry, trigonometry; Quantum Theory of Numbers, Self-Powered Numbers, Ancient Russian Architecture, Theory of Music - perhaps that's not all!

What is a riddle? Entertainment for kids or a serious, real ritual action? The essence of the riddle is not fully known and is fraught with many secrets ... It is known for certain that our ancestors respected riddles and could not do without them either in raising children, or at Christmas gatherings, or at weddings. But in the summer and in the light of the sun, it turns out that it was not customary to guess and guess riddles ...

Wouldn't you like to go to Kudykina Gora?
Folk riddles have preserved for us the "fragments" of the old figurative language. Back in the 17th century, they were widespread in everyday life and were nothing more than a kind of secret speech. The fact is that there was a ban (taboo) on the direct naming of a number of phenomena. I don’t know about you, but in my family it is still not customary to ask a direct question when leaving the house: “Where are you going?” You can run into a rude answer: “Where to where? A cow somewhere! This is all because our ancestors once firmly believed that by naming a place, you run the risk of not getting there. The chatterbox will be haunted by failure all day. We still call Leshy by the secret name "grandfather Pikhto", fearing that he would do something bad, and when we go mushrooming, he would not lead him into the dense forest.

Tuh-tuh-ta on the barefoot
The 18th-century traveler S.P. Krasheninnikov gave examples of secret speech among hunters: “In previous years, many more things were called strange names, for example: the church - “pointed top”, a woman - “husk” or “white-headed”, a girl - “simple”, a horse - "long-tailed", a rooster - "bare-footed". God forbid, the Siberian hunter will directly tell how the fishing went - there will be no luck next time. Hence the riddle: “I went to tuh-tuh-tu, took taf-taf-tu with me and came across snor-tah-tu; if not taf-taf-ta, snoring-tah-ta would have eaten me, ”which is translated into modern language means: went hunting, took a dog with him, found a bear, etc.

Encrypted teacher
The secret language is the progenitor of our riddles. Thanks to the mystery of the everyday world everyday little things included in a vivid system of images. Here is a riddle about a pig (“low-looking”): “He walks on the earth, but does not see the sky.” Or about a rooster - "The bare-footed pan sings, the sun calls to heaven."
The riddles reflect the ideas of our ancestors about the structure of the world and the person himself, about time and the meaning of life. The dialogue of older family members with the younger ones ensured the transfer of knowledge from generation to generation: “The pike dives, the grass adjoins” (spit). “Cheers in the spring, cools in the summer, nourishes in the fall, warms in the winter” (tree).

Well, and smutty!
During an old Russian wedding, with the help of “adult” riddles, the groom was tested for ingenuity and ridiculed if he scratched his head like a fool: “Not salty, not boiled, between the legs - always ready breakfast?” While the groom is embarrassed, we will tell you that this is cow's milk. “If it weren’t for the tyatina shovel, my mother’s shag would be overgrown” - that’s a serious riddle that contains a life-affirming beginning! This is arable land and a plow. But the gatherings ended, and the riddles, along with bright outfits, were put aside “in the chest” until another special occasion, in order to preserve the atmosphere of a wonderful holiday, not to lose it in a series of everyday life.

Get it, son!
It is interesting that the information encoded in riddles about natural phenomena should have been spoken out only at a special time - at Christmas time and at New Year when the sun turns its course for the summer, and the world seems to be reborn. On such magical evenings, children and teenagers gathered around gray-haired elders and wise old women to guess riddles and adopt life wisdom. Riddles gave an idea not only about everyday life, but also about history: “Two old women are standing on a mountain-mountain, if they gasp, people will go deaf” (guns). The basis of the riddles was the knowledge of the surrounding reality, which required the child to be keenly observant and quick-witted: “There is a shirt on the street, in a hut a sleeve” (rays of the sun). “The peas scattered on seventy roads, no one will pick it up (hail).

Baby trap
A riddle, speaking in scientific language, is a metaphorical expression in which one object is depicted through another, which has at least a remote resemblance to it: “A sieve hangs on the ceiling in the corner not with hands twisted” (web). So, the web turns into a sieve, the light bulb into a pear, the sun into an apple, and the well-known cucumber into a room full of people - just some kind of magic! This is why children love riddles so much. A wise riddle makes a child think and develop, its conditional language forces him to find poetry in the most simple things. “Wriths - with a cat, and stretches - with a track” (rope). “Two brothers went into the water to swim” (buckets).
When guessing, a clear logic develops, and creative thinking, and the ability to reason and prove, and this is the basis of any creativity. “I’ll lay a matting, I’ll sow peas, I’ll put a roll, nobody can take it” (Sky, stars, month).
Guessing riddles always gives a child (yes, believe me, and an adult) pleasure, because this is a game that is very interesting to play. The treasury of Russian folk mysteries is rich in amazing colorful images. You can also compose them yourself. Here, I honestly admit, I invented a couple of riddles given in this article - but I won’t say which ones. Guess yourself!
If I can do it, you can do it too, even better. Let the piggy bank of small masterpieces created by you and your child be replenished with new riddles. And let them be passed down from generation to generation.
