When will the Crimean bridge open? Ministry of Transport: traffic on the Crimean bridge will be introduced in stages. When will the Crimean bridge across the Kerch Strait be opened for cars: Kuban and the capital of Crimea will be connected by a new federal highway

Yesterday, many Russian media, referring to the President's statement Russian Federation, announced the early launch of the Crimean bridge. Is it so? Vladimir Putin, during the announcement, mentioned the imminent launch of traffic on the Crimean bridge: “In a few months, automobile traffic will open on the Crimean bridge, and next year, rail traffic. This will give impetus to the development of Crimea and the entire Russian Black Sea region.” Many Russian media began to talk about early launch. The headlines with the mention were in the main news feed of the country. But did the journalists write the truth?

What did Putin say about the launch of the Crimean bridge?

Vladimir Vladimirovich said that car traffic on the Crimean bridge will open "in a few months." But how much is it? People say: "Several is a loose concept." It can be 2, 3 or even 9 months. What do officials say about this?

The official date of the launch of traffic on the Crimean bridge

From the very beginning of construction, it was announced that the crossing would open to traffic in December 2018. In fact, from March to December, too, a few months. Therefore, the question arises: “Was there a statement about early launch?”

Statement on the early launch of the Crimean bridge

Rumors about an early launch also did not appear out of thin air. Firstly, even at the level of the State Council, it was reported that traffic on the Crimean bridge was launched already before the summer season of 2018. During the Open Crimea tourism forum, Aleksey CHERNYAK, head of the Committee of the State Council of the Republic on the health resort complex and tourism, told how he sees the upcoming holiday season: “Transport logistics will completely change. First of all, this is the opening of a new airport in the spring of this year, the opening of a road connection (with the mainland - ed.)”. That is, in Crimea, a stream of tourists is already waiting, who will come to the peninsula along the Crimean bridge. However, the press service of the Crimean Bridge responds to official requests that the launch will take place in December. IN social network there is a community of the Crimean bridge, where bridge builders and fans of the “construction of the century” communicate and share information. It has been repeatedly noted here that the construction of the bridge is far ahead of schedule. "A few - it could be 3, or maybe 9, so nothing new." I heard from the hard workers that it seems to be May 8th. But this is not accurate, ”community subscribers write. So when will they open? Read:

When will the Crimean bridge be opened?

It is possible to admit the likelihood that they will open by the holiday season. After all, this is already being announced at the level of the ministry, and the bridge builders themselves note that work is progressing ahead of schedule. However, there is one nuance that all the same subscribers of the public noticed: “The VAD with the overpass does not keep up with the construction of the bridge. We have to make a temporary detour instead of the overpass itself.” Even if they manage to complete the construction this spring, which is unlikely, then what about? Everyone remembers the kilometer traffic jams near Feodosia. Will they manage to make a denouement at? If car traffic opens up and there are more tourists with private cars, how many hours or days will people be stuck in traffic jams? "A few"?

Can the Crimean bridge be opened by May 9?

the whole of Russia is waiting, but the news about the early launch is joyful only for those who do not understand how important it is to synchronize the construction of the Crimean bridge, auto-approaches to it, the overpass in Kerch and the readiness of the Taurida highway. Therefore, we can conclude that in the President's statement, many people heard only what they wanted to hear.

The installation of road and railway arches on the navigable part of the Kerch bridge has intensified the media discussion about when the bridge to Crimea will be opened for trains. Employees of the Ministry of Transport answer such questions from journalists that all work is being carried out slightly ahead of schedule.

Therefore, there is every reason to say that the railway will be launched on the Crimean bridge by the end of 2019. Road traffic will open a year earlier - in December 2018.

When will trains be allowed to cross the bridge and adjacent railway tracks to Crimea: features

The Stroygazmontazh company, which is building the bridge itself, is engaged in the construction of railways to the bridge and at the crossing itself. The coordinated efforts of the employees of this company largely determine when the railway bridge to the Crimea will be opened.

The duties of bridge builders include not only the laying of tracks, but also the equipment of the adjacent infrastructure. It depends on when the Crimean bridge will be opened for railway, and how fast trains can travel from the mainland to the peninsula and back. The Stroygazmontazh company will be the only contractor and performer of works on the creation of approaches to the bridge on the Crimean peninsula. On the part of the continental part, another company will probably help. The decision on this will be made later by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

The contract signed between the company and the ministry provides for the construction of a double-track railway on the peninsula. Its length will be 18 kilometers. If everything goes well, the railway on the Crimean bridge will start operating in test mode as early as August 1, 2019.

When will the bridge to Crimea be opened for trains: exact date

In the event that the tests are successful, then December 1, 2019 will be the date when the Crimean bridge will be opened for the railway. This part of the approach will not be covered, but the installation of such a system is planned in the future.

But this is not all the work that should be carried out by the time trains are allowed to cross the bridge to the Crimea. Buildings will appear along the canvas and next to it, a tunnel will be updated railroad station Bagerovo. Not far from it, bases for the location of fire and special recovery trains, and a station park will be built.

By land and at the crossing, when the railway bridge to the Crimea is opened, passenger trains will reach speeds of up to 120 km/h. Freight trains have speed limits. The trains will be able to drive at a speed of no more than 80 km/h.

Millions of Russians, and not only, are looking forward to the opening of the Crimean bridge. This is one of the global construction projects of this decade.

The bridge starts on the Taman Peninsula, passes along the existing five-kilometer dam and Tuzla Island, crosses the Kerch Strait, and goes to the Crimean Coast. The launch of the bridge will provide transport accessibility with continental Russia, which do not have a land connection.

When will the Crimean bridge be opened?

The bridge has been under construction since February 2016. The bridge will be the longest in Russia - 19 km. The bridge will include two parallel tracks for cars and trains.

Previously, traffic on the automobile part of the road was planned to open in December 2018, but this moment the possibility of early opening of this part of the road is allowed. According to the latest data, the bridge across the Kerch Strait will open in the second half of May 2018, presumably on the 18th. But the deadlines for the construction of the route, along which the trains will pass, are still scheduled for December 2019.

At first, the movement of freight transport will be prohibited on the Crimean bridge. Also, new routes leading to the bridge are not ready yet. Therefore, serious traffic jams are possible at the entrance to the crossing from both sides.

When will the Crimean bridge be opened for trucks?

So far, there is no such information. Truck drivers fear that restrictions will be imposed on the passage of heavy vehicles in terms of weight, dimensions, as well as dangerous goods. Rumor has it that the bridge will be closed to trucks until at least 2020. According to other sources, trucks will be allowed in October 2018, after the end of the holiday season.

In any case, all cargo transportation can be carried out, as before, through the ferry crossing.

Ferry after the launch of the Crimean bridge

The Kerch ferry crossing (the port of Crimea - the port of Kavkaz) is one of the main arteries connecting the Crimean peninsula with Russia. After the completion of the construction of the Kerch bridge, the workload of the crossing will significantly decrease, but the need for it will remain. The crossing will be in demand, but more for cargo transportation. According to some reports, it is planned to build a large logistics center in Kerch, the work of which will keep the loading of the crossing between the port of Crimea and the port of Kavkaz.
At the moment, the crossing is operating normally, and will continue to operate in 2019, 2020 and beyond.

On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during his visit to the Krasnodar Territory and the Crimea, visited the construction site for the construction of the automobile part of the bridge across the Kerch Strait, the construction of which began two years ago.

According to the construction schedule, the facility should be commissioned in December 2018 - these terms have also been repeatedly called by the country's leadership. But in a recent address to the Federal Assembly, Putin mentioned that the strategic facility could be put into operation significantly ahead of schedule.

On Wednesday, during a visit to the construction site, this was confirmed.

The President arrived from the Krasnodar Territory and by bus got to the largest span of the bridge - the arched one. This is the only place where ships can pass under the structure.

The deputy general director showed the object to the president. “Here are participants who from the very beginning of construction: both Tyumen and Nizhny Novgorod, and central Russia- everyone who has been involved since the beginning of construction, ”the presidential press service quotes him.

“Are there specialists from all over the country? Interesting object, powerful. And everything works out for you, even ahead of schedule, as far as I understand,” the president replied. - I would like, of course, that people could use it in the summer season. Although access roads are still needed, the road workers must do their job properly.”

“Just a unique building not only for our country, but I think there are few analogues in the world.

I was now told how it was necessary to meet these 72 hours in order to put the anchor in its place. Hard work. I congratulate you on this milestone. I hope that everything will be brought to the end, as expected, on time and, perhaps, even ahead of schedule and with high quality. Hello, just great guys! I want to wish you success," he added.

He asked the builders whether it is now possible to drive along this route from coast to coast, to which he received an affirmative answer.

“It remains only to equip, as I understand it, road, re-equip the markings, lay asphalt concrete. This is no longer the most difficult job,” Putin added.

Responding to a remark by one of the builders who was still building the Baikal-Amur Mainline,

Putin noted that the construction of a bridge to the Crimea was thought about even in tsarist times.

“We started, we were already preparing for design work, but the first World War did not allow implementation. Then in the 1930s they tried to do it - they also failed. And later tried - nothing worked. And you did it. This is cool. I congratulate you. I hope there will still be an opportunity to congratulate you on the completion of the entire complex, but what has been done is already impressive,” the president summed up, adding that he would try to personally come to the official opening of the bridge.

Already after the president’s visit to the bridge, answering a question from journalists about the timing of the opening, the head of the general contractor for the construction of Stroygazmontazh, said that this would happen after May 9. He did not specify the exact date.

Recall that the bridge across the Kerch Strait, also called the Crimean, will indeed become the longest in Europe, its length will be 19 kilometers. The capacity is 40 thousand cars and 47 pairs of trains per day, 14 million passengers and 13 million tons of cargo per year.

In parallel, the automobile and railway parts are being built, the opening of the latter for train traffic is scheduled for early 2019. The bridge starts on the Taman Peninsula, passes along a five-kilometer dam and Tuzla Island, crosses the Kerch Strait and comes to the coast of Crimea.

In the coming years, the Tavrida highway will be laid from the bridge, which will allow motorists to quickly get from the strait to Simferopol and Sevastopol.

After visiting the bridge across the strait, Vladimir Putin went to Simferopol airport, where work is underway to build a new terminal. The president also plans to visit Sevastopol, where he plans to attend a large-scale rally-concert in honor of the next anniversary of the annexation of the peninsula to Russia.

The movement of road transport on the bridge across the Kerch Strait may be opened in May this year. Rosavtodor is already planning to conclude a contract for the maintenance of access roads and the bridge itself.

The state contract implies the maintenance of operating roads, moreover, of federal significance, to which the A-290 Novorossiysk-Kerch highway belongs, as well as traffic bridge designed for the movement of vehicles and rail transport. The total amount of the contract is almost half a million rubles. The validity period starts from May 1 of the current year.

When asked about the early opening of the operation of the Kerch bridge, the leadership of Rosavtodor said that in currently the progress of the work is on schedule, but in some areas there is a certain backlog. However, no specific dates have been announced by the department's management.

The 19 km long bridge will connect Crimea with the mainland of Russia.. rub. The contract for the construction of the Crimean bridge specifies another deadline for its completion - December 2018. According to the official website of the Crimean Bridge, "the movement of cars will open in December 2018, trains - in 2019." The fact that the opening date of the bridge is "so far December 2018", earlier on the sidelines of the RBC Sochi forum, the head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, also spoke.

It is worth noting that the period, which is presumably specified in the application of the state contract, corresponds to the statement of President Vladimir Putin, made on Thursday in a message to the Federal Assembly. The President in his speech noted that the bridge for traffic will be opened "in a few months."

The fact that the movement on the bridge can be started as early as May in his interview was confirmed by the Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative in the South federal district Vladimir Gurba.

The Crimean bridge will be opened in a few months, President Putin said in his message to the Federal Assembly, noting that the construction of the bridge is ahead of schedule.

The commissioning of the bridge will not only affect the life of the Crimea, but, in particular, will have a beneficial effect on the economy of Kerch. But it is this city that first meets travelers from the mainland of our country. This was announced in an interview with the National News Service by the head of the administration of Kerch, Sergei Borozdin. In support of his words, he cited analytical forecasts.

Borozdin emphasized the fact that the Ukrainian Kerch was an ordinary provincial city on the outskirts and was supplied with everything necessary according to the so-called residual principle. “By the way, this feeling of a dead end, as a resident of Kerch, I will say frankly, it is very deeply, unfortunately, rooted in Kerch residents during the entire time of Ukrainization,” the head of the city said. “I see big tasks for the administration of Kerch to create a new image of the city, to create a comfortable urban environment.”
