Feelings that occur in early pregnancy. What are the feelings, emotions and sensations of a person? sensory sensations

And human emotions? It is to this issue that we decided to devote today's article. Indeed, without these components, we would not be people, but machines that do not live, but simply exist.

What are the sense organs?

As you know, a person learns all the information about the world around him through his own. These include the following:

  • eyes;
  • language;
  • leather.

Thanks to these organs, people feel and see the objects around them, as well as hear sounds and taste. It should be noted that this is far from full list. Although it is customary to call it the main one. So what are the feelings and sensations of a person who has not only the above, but also other organs? Let's consider the answer to the question in more detail.

Eyes

The sensations of vision, or rather of color and light, are the most numerous and varied. Thanks to the presented organ, people receive about 70% of information about the environment. Scientists have found that the number of visual sensations ( various qualities) of an adult, on average, reaches 35 thousand. It should also be noted that it is vision that plays a significant role in the perception of space. As for the sensation of color, it completely depends on the length of the light wave that irritates the retina of the eye, and the intensity depends on its amplitude or the so-called scope.

Ears

Hearing (tones and noises) gives a person about 20 thousand different states of consciousness. This sensation is caused by air waves that come from the sounding body. Its quality depends entirely on the magnitude of the wave, its strength on its amplitude, and its timbre (or sound coloring) on its shape.

Nose

The senses of smell are quite diverse and very difficult to classify. They occur when the upper part of the nasal cavity is irritated, as well as the mucous membrane of the palate. This effect occurs due to the dissolution of the smallest odorous substances.

Language

Thanks to this organ, a person can distinguish different tastes, namely sweet, salty, sour and bitter.

Leather

Tactile sensations break down into feelings of pressure, pain, temperature, and so on. They occur during irritation of the nerve endings located in the tissues, which have a special structure.

What are the feelings of a person? In addition to all of the above, people also have feelings such as:

  • Static (position of the body in space and a sense of its balance). This feeling occurs during irritation of the nerve endings that are located in the semicircular canals of the ear.
  • Muscular, articular and tendon. They are very difficult to observe, but they are in the nature of internal pressure, stress, and even slip.
  • organic or somatic. These feelings include hunger, nausea, sensations of breathing, and so on.

What are feelings and emotions?

Emotions and inner feelings of a person reflect his attitude to any event or situation in life. Moreover, the two named states are quite different from each other. Thus, emotions are a direct reaction to something. It happens at the animal level. As for feelings, this is a product of thinking, accumulated experience, experiences, etc.

What feelings does a person have? It is rather difficult to answer the question unequivocally. After all, people have a lot of feelings and emotions. They give a person information about needs, as well as feedback to what is happening. Thanks to this, people can understand what they are doing right and what they are doing wrong. After realizing the feelings that have arisen, a person gives himself the right to any emotion, and thus he begins to understand what is happening in reality.

List of basic emotions and feelings

What are the feelings and emotions of a person? It is simply impossible to list them all. In this regard, we decided to name only a few. Moreover, they are divided into three different groups.

Positive:

  • pleasure;
  • exultation;
  • joy;
  • pride;
  • delight;
  • confidence;
  • confidence;
  • Delight;
  • sympathy;
  • love (or affection);
  • love (sexual attraction to a partner);
  • respect;
  • gratitude (or gratitude);
  • tenderness;
  • complacency;
  • tenderness;
  • gloat;
  • bliss;
  • feeling of satisfied revenge;
  • feeling of self-satisfaction;
  • feeling of relief;
  • anticipation;
  • a sense of security.

Negative:

Neutral:

  • astonishment;
  • curiosity;
  • amazement;
  • calm and contemplative mood;
  • indifference.

Now you know what a person's feelings are. Some to a greater extent, some to a lesser extent, but each of us has experienced them at least once in our lives. Negative emotions that are ignored and not realized by us do not just disappear. After all, the body and soul are one, and if the latter suffers for a long time, then the body takes on some part of its heavy burden. And it is not in vain that they say that all diseases are from nerves. Influence negative emotions on human well-being and health has long been scientific fact. As for positive feelings, the benefits of them are clear to everyone. After all, experiencing joy, happiness and other emotions, a person literally fixes in his memory the desired types of behavior (feelings of success, well-being, trust in the world, people around him, etc.).

Neutral feelings also help people express their attitude to what they see, hear, and so on. By the way, such emotions can act as a kind of springboard to further positive or negative manifestations.

Thus, by analyzing his behavior and attitude to current events, a person can become better, worse, or remain the same. It is these properties that distinguish humans from animals.

H what is feeling and what is feeling? Is there a difference between them?

Many people, if asked these questions, are likely to find it difficult to answer. Or they will say that there is not much difference, and if there is, then it is insignificant. But why then are there two different words? Is it just to say the same thing?

Let's do a little experiment, and see what kind of impression, for example, such words: "I feel love" and "I feel love" evoke in us. Let's voice them inside ourselves, listen...

Will there not be a desire something understand, understand? Won’t “I feel” lead us into the depths of ourselves, but “I feel” will not nevertheless rush and pour out into the outside, so that I want to add: “I feel love inside yourself and "I feel love to anyone"?

In other words, already in this rather subjective experiment, if desired, one can see the direction of our internal attention with the word "sensation" inside ourselves, and the direction with the word "feeling" - outward. And this is quite natural and natural, if we turn for an explanation to the book of Abd-ru-shin "In the Light of Truth. The Grail Message", in which the mechanism of action in a person of sensation, which refers to the voice of our inner "I", and the mechanism of the emergence of feelings, which has an external nature, is given special attention.

But before turning to the Grail Message, let's recall one vital experience of the writer Alexander Isayevich Solzhenitsyn. At one time, thanks to the difficult trials of fate, he recognized in himself a certain mysterious spiritual "recognition relay", which allows him to recognize people at first sight with unmistakable accuracy.

The feeling of constant danger, the constant defense against the cruel external environment that Solzhenitsyn had to face in prisons, at the stages and in the investigation cells, awakened and hardened in this man something that most of us, unfortunately, are not inclined to pay attention to - the voice of our spirit, sensation. Here is how he writes about it:

“I still didn’t know the word“ mother hen ”, nor - that it should be in every cell, I didn’t even have time to think it over and say that I didn’t like this man, Georgy Kramarenko - but a spiritual relay had already worked in me, a relay "recognizer, and forever closed me to this person. I would not mention such a case if it were the only one. But I soon began to feel the work of this recognition relay inside me with surprise, with delight and anxiety as a constant natural property. Years passed, I lay on the same bunk, walked in the same ranks, worked in the same brigades with many hundreds of people, and always this mysterious relay-recognizer, in the creation of which there was not a dash of my merit, worked before I remembered it , worked at the sight of a human face, eyes, at the first sounds of a voice - and opened me to this person wide open, or only to a crack, or deafly closed. It was always so unmistakable that all the fuss of the detectives with the equipment of the informers began to seem to me snarky: after all, with someone who undertook to be a traitor, this is clearly always on his face and in his voice, while others seem to be deftly pretending - but unclean. And, on the contrary, the recognizer helped me to distinguish those to whom, from the first minutes of acquaintance, one can reveal the most intimate, depths and secrets for which heads are chopped off. So I went through eight years of imprisonment, three years of exile, another six years of underground writing, no less dangerous - and all seventeen years I recklessly opened up to dozens of people - and I never stumbled! - I have not read anywhere about this and I am writing here for lovers of psychology. It seems to me that such spiritual devices are contained in many of us, but, people of a too technical and intellectual age, we neglect this miracle, do not allow it to develop in us. "("The Gulag Archipelago", Chapter 5)

Thus, Solzhenitsyn experienced from his own experience the action of this amazing "spiritual device", which is well known to folk wisdom, and the exact and detailed description which was first given by Abd-ru-shin in the Grail Message.

There is no doubt that this knowledge will be of interest not only to lovers of psychology, but is essential for each of us. The Voice Inner report says:

As in all such sayings and proverbs, a deep truth is hidden here. By impression we are accustomed to understand sensation. What, for example, a person feels at the first meeting with a stranger is either something like an alarm signal up to complete repulsion, or something pleasant up to complete sympathy, and in many cases just indifference. "

So, sensation is the voice of our spirit! The voice of that which dwells in us as our immortal "I", as our so-called " inner man"- the life-giving core in us, which uses the earthly gross material body as an instrument according to the type of that level in Creation, on which in this moment of our being, we abide for the purpose of our development.

To many people, this statement will certainly seem strange for the reason that they are used to identifying themselves with their earthly body. But this identification consists precisely consequence that spiritual and moral disease of mankind, which the Bible points to, and which the most perspicacious and observant people speak about, and the causes of which are revealed by Abd-ru-shin with convincing completeness and logic. We are talking about the so-called original sin, the essence of which is the hypertrophied development of the human forebrain. This is a hereditary process to which all of humanity has been subject for many, many millennia. Because of this, earthly man has become more intelligent, rational, but less spiritual. We have become people, as Solzhenitsyn writes, "too technical and intellectual age"!

At the same time, the life that we carry in ourselves, and therefore the energy and strength, are contained only in the spirit. But the earthly man voluntarily gave the reins of government to that which is dead in itself, for it is a product of the grossly material, earthly brain - reason, mind. We "neglected the miracle" that each of us carries within ourselves as the greatest Gift of God, and do not allow this miracle to "develop in us." The consequences of this neglect are now felt in all areas human activity and the consequences are catastrophic. For a person, guided by the mind-reason in isolation from his inner voice - sensations, automatically, regularly lays in all his undertakings death and destruction.

One of the unkind consequences of the unrighteous interference of an earthly person in the charitable order of the distribution of roles between mind-reason and spirit is the erasure of the distinction between sensation and feeling. For feeling is the offspring of the earthly body:

“Therefore, stay awake! Feeling is not sensation! The source of feeling is the grossly material body. fantasy.

So, from the side of the Spirit, we have only a sensation that has risen above space-time. On the other hand, it is primarily a grossly material body attached to space-time. Inclinations emanate from this body, which, with the participation of the mind, give rise to feelings." (Report "Inner Voice")

"Inclinations come from the body..." - this means that the feeling as such consists of a finer substance than the grossly material body itself - from the ethereal gross materiality.

At the same time, feelings in themselves are not an obstacle in spiritual development, but on the contrary: feelings contribute to the unfolding of spiritual power and the maturation of the spirit, if only they are subordinate to the spirit, subordinate to sensation - then they are pure.

However, giving the reins to reason, people fall into a sad dependence on their own feelings. They seem to let the genie out of the bottle, which they then cannot cope with: slowly but surely, they find themselves in slavery to this genie - in slavery to their own feelings! Therefore, such expressions are quite familiar to our ears: “Give vent to your feelings”, “Be a prisoner of feelings”, “Fever of feelings”, but nothing of the kind can be said in connection with sensation!

And does a person really need to endure many hardships and restrictions in order to revive the feeling in him in its unclouded purity and strength, as happened, for example, with Solzhenitsyn? But this can be reached in another way - the way of joy in the knowledge of the Primordial Laws of Creation.

Pregnancy for a woman is one of the natural states. And yet it greatly changes the body's perception of not only the surrounding world, but also itself. Feelings are especially important in early pregnancy. They are so diverse that you should know in advance what to expect for a future mother. After all, some of them will indicate that there are deviations from the norm and medical intervention is urgently required.

The desired appearance of the baby or not, the woman is extremely interested in when the symptoms of pregnancy appear. Its countdown starts from the first day of the previous menstruation.

Conception occurs in the middle of the cycle. But at this stage, you should not expect any sensations. Only especially impressionable women talk about them, although they are associated more with impatience than with physiological changes.

The only thing that can be detected is an increase in vaginal discharge. This reaction of the body is due to the fact that it actively produces mucus for the subsequent formation of a protective plug.

After another 6-10 days, the fertilized egg takes its place in the uterus. From this event, one can reason about when the symptoms of pregnancy begin, because some of them are already felt. For example, mucus from the genital tract may be mixed with blood and mild pain in the abdomen. These signs are usually frightening, because, according to the verbal description, they look threatening. But there is nothing to be afraid of if it does not last more than 2 days. The process of introducing the egg into the uterine mucosa proceeds with damage to the vessels.

However, for the majority, this event has no visible manifestations. And for them, the question of how long pregnancy symptoms appear is still relevant. From the moment of implantation of the embryo, we can say that conception has occurred. As the fetus develops, the hormonal background of a woman changes, which affects her well-being. Already in a two-week period, you can feel your new state.

First sensations during pregnancy

When pregnancy occurs, one of the first sensations that appear:

  • soreness, unusual sensitivity of the chest, nipples;
  • increased volume of vaginal discharge;
  • nausea;
  • strong salivation;
  • a change in the reaction to food - favorite dishes become tasteless or generally inspire disgust, and some new ones, on the contrary, cause increased appetite;
  • heightened perception of aromas, even the usual cosmetics and perfumes smell unpleasant, there may be aversion to male smell;
  • increased weakness and fatigue, drowsiness;
  • discomfort in the abdomen - bloating, rumbling, soreness;
  • the skin becomes hot to the touch, there are chills and hot flashes;
  • frequent mood changes.

Normally, not all of these manifestations may be present or other symptoms are added to them. Every woman has a different start to pregnancy.

Feelings during pregnancy

The psychological state and feelings during pregnancy are associated with changes in the hormonal background. Usually women say:

  • irritability;
  • tearfulness;
  • transitions from laughter to depressed mood;
  • anxiety;
  • suspiciousness.

Often there are depressive reactions. In some women, on the contrary, the onset of pregnancy coincides with feelings of a surge of strength and an improvement in their condition.

Is it normal if I don't feel like I'm pregnant early on?

Normally, a woman at an early stage may not feel that she is pregnant. This is typical for healthy and young expectant mothers. For most, the very first sensations are very atypical, therefore, it is possible to find out about conception only after a delay and a test.

It is worse if there were already all signs of toxicosis (malaise, nausea), swelling and pain in the mammary glands, and then they disappeared, but spotting appeared. These are signs that the pregnancy has stopped in development. You need to visit a gynecologist urgently.

Feelings in the uterus during early pregnancy

The initial sensations in the uterus during early pregnancy (implantation and strengthening of the fetal egg) can be:

  • feeling of heaviness;
  • it seems that the uterus hurts (usually a woman begins to feel it, which was not there before);
  • with a sharp movement, turning, there is a sharp pain in the groin, lower back or along the inner surface of the thighs;
  • there is a feeling of fullness in the abdomen, bloating.

In the early stages of pregnancy, not all women notice sensations in the uterus, but as it develops, they become much more.

Such manifestations are associated with the beginning of the growth of the uterus and a change in the load on its ligaments. Often the cause of pain are previously transferred inflammatory diseases of the abdominal cavity. After them, adhesions form and, with the development of pregnancy, their stretching can be sensitive.

Can lower back hurt after conception

The lower back after conception can hurt in those women who experience similar sensations before the onset of menstruation. Severe pain in the lumbar region, fatigue with prolonged standing, sitting or walking are typical for late periods. In the second, and especially the third trimester, the weight of the uterus with the fetus puts a lot of stress on this part of the spine.

What is the belly in the early stages

Often, the outward appearance of the stomach in the early stages does not change. Less often there is an increase in local temperature (hot stomach), tension, soreness. It hardens a little in the lower part when probing, as the tone of the muscle fibers increases. Due to hormonal changes, digestion is rebuilt, so bloating, a feeling that the stomach is twisting, is possible.

Fetus at the end of the 4th (a), 6th (b) and 9th (c) months of pregnancy

Appearance

In the first 2 months, external signs of pregnancy are not noticeable. The abdomen is soft, of normal shape and size, there is no pain on pressure. Closer to 11-12 weeks, you can feel the upper border of the uterus. It thickens and begins to be felt by a woman.

Why hot belly

A hot stomach can be a reaction to an increase in the level of progesterone in the blood. Normally, skin temperature rises during pregnancy, this is not a sign of pathology. In some women, it is mainly felt in the abdomen, but most note that the whole body has become hot.

Tense stomach

The tension of the anterior abdominal wall in the lower abdomen is characteristic of the early period. This muscle tone protects the developing fetus in the uterus. In addition, against the background of hormonal changes, there is swelling and distension in the intestines. The reason for going to the doctor appears if the tension is combined with:

  • cramping pain,
  • rise in temperature,
  • bouts of nausea and vomiting,
  • excretion of blood.

Why does it hurt

The stomach hurts during early pregnancy due to such changes:

  • increased production of hormones and restructuring of bowel function;
  • stretching of the uterine ligaments;
  • uterus growth;
  • attachment of the fetal egg (sometimes accompanied by blood smearing).

Normally, the pain is moderate or weak, lasts no more than a few minutes, there is no bleeding. With the appearance of blood from the vagina and pain, it is important to consult a gynecologist, undergo an ultrasound scan.

burning belly

Burning sensations (burning belly) is due to physiological changes (normal), it is caused by changes associated with the attachment of the fetal egg, stretching of the uterine cavity and its ligaments. In this case, only a slight tingling, slight discomfort is usually noted. These symptoms occur intermittently and resolve without additional treatment.

If the stomach burns for a long time, there is pain, the temperature is raised to more than 37.3 degrees, then this is a likely sign:

  • ovarian diseases,
  • herpes infection,
  • disruption threats.

In order to make a correct diagnosis, an examination by a gynecologist is necessary.

Does it harden

The abdomen can harden during pregnancy in the first months due to reflex (protective tension) of the abdominal wall. These changes are not always clearly perceptible, therefore, both a soft and a hard abdomen do not confirm or exclude fertilization.

Twists during pregnancy

Unpleasant sensations in the intestinal area of the patient describe: twists, whines, compresses the stomach. They are associated with the effect of progesterone on the intestinal wall. It relaxes, like the rest of the muscle fibers. Hormonal changes also lead to flatulence, constipation, or loose stools. Usually, such discomfort decreases or completely disappears from the second month of pregnancy.

Cramping pain during early pregnancy

In the early stages of pregnancy, cramping pains are dangerous, they can mean a threatening or incipient miscarriage. This complication is characterized by:

  • soreness above the pubis and in the lower back;
  • discharge of blood from the vagina;
  • severe weakness.

It is also possible to increase nausea, fever. With a threatened abortion, there is a chance to keep the pregnancy. To do this, you need to call an ambulance for hospitalization in the gynecological department. Self-medication is not recommended.

Can shivering in early pregnancy

In the early stages of pregnancy, she is shivering due to the fact that this is how the body reacts to a fetus that is half foreign to it. In addition to this, against the background of hormonal changes, the body temperature rises, and this can also be accompanied by chills.

This reaction is quite natural and gradually disappears. Prolonged trembling in the body, fever with headache and nausea is a sign of an infection in the body. Therefore, in all doubtful cases, it is better to consult a gynecologist.

Can high blood pressure be a sign of pregnancy?

In most women, hormonal changes during pregnancy cause
a decrease in pressure, so its increase does not apply to specific signs of conception.

Any changes in blood circulation, unusual sensations cannot be unambiguously attributed only to the beginning of fetal development.

For correct setting diagnosis, you must visit a gynecologist (if there is a delay in menstruation), a cardiologist or a general practitioner.

On what day after conception does she start to feel sick

A typical time for the onset of nausea after conception is the first days of the second month of pregnancy - 5-6 weeks. Nausea appears in the morning or increases throughout the day. Possible connection with food or the occurrence and outside of its reception. In some women, the urge to vomit and changes in taste sensations, increased salivation disappear after 2-3 weeks, but often they disturb almost the entire pregnancy.

Symptoms of pregnancy after conception

The surest symptom for many is the absence of menstruation in due time. But this will be revealed later. Some women even before menstruation feel the manifestations of the changes that have occurred in the body.

Feelings in early pregnancy before the delay are weak, they are easy to confuse with signs of a cold or overwork. A woman may experience:

  • runny nose, sore throat;
  • drowsiness, rapid fatigue;
  • increased excitability.

Sometimes all of the above is the body's reaction to a change in the balance of hormones. But it is worth taking into account that immunity is not active at this time. All forces are subordinated to the needs of the reproductive system, that is, the development of pregnancy. Therefore, it is easy to really catch a cold and overwork.

Increased symptoms

After implantation, the embryonic cells begin to actively divide. The task of the organism is to provide safe conditions and comfort for the existence of the fetal egg. At this time, the volume increases.

The embryo also adds new to the composition of the mother's hormones. This is hCG, which helps the gynecologist to make a diagnosis. Under no other circumstances can this hormone appear in the female body. It depends on progesterone and hCG how pregnancy begins, the symptoms of which become more pronounced every day.

Symptoms of pregnancy

Manifestation of symptoms in a pregnant woman

Nausea

Usually nausea haunts in the morning, but it can also appear 2-3 times a day. It can be associated with or without food.

Change in temperature inside the vagina (basal temperature)

If a woman controlled her before, she will notice that BT is at a value slightly above 37 degrees. So the body creates the conditions for the development of the embryo.

Cessation of menstruation

The presence of the embryo makes it impossible and unnecessary to replace the upper layer of the uterine mucosa with a new one.

Appearance changes

At the first stage, the belly does not grow yet, but the skin may become covered with age spots, acne, and the hair may become more oily or dry and weak.

Aversion to smells

It's not just about the smell of food, but any other. Previously favorite or neutral scents cause an attack of nausea or, at best, irritation.

Change in tastes in food

A woman is more often drawn to salty or there is a rejection of meat. There may be a need to eat a substance unsuitable for this.

And yet, when they discuss what it feels like during pregnancy in the early stages, they mainly mean what happened in the reproductive system of a woman. The main ones are focused in her stomach.

Early pregnancy and uterus

The main organ that performs work during pregnancy is the uterus. This is a refuge for the embryo for a long time. The body most clearly demonstrates all the existing changes.

Feelings in the uterus in early pregnancy are noticeable from its onset. It has already been said about what a woman can feel when an embryo is fixed in her, but this is far from all. The organ receives an increased blood supply at an early stage. This makes him especially susceptible.

If in the normal state not every woman will indicate where the uterus is located, during pregnancy she will easily do this. The tissues of the mucous membrane of the organ swell, which may cause a slight heaviness in the abdomen, tingling.

Normal sensations in early pregnancy do not cause unbearable discomfort, although with its development they will intensify. According to the reasons that caused them, these manifestations can be divided into groups.

hypertonicity

The feeling of tightness in the abdomen is familiar to many in this condition. His fault is a spasm of the muscles of the uterus, called. When feeling the abdomen after 2 months from the onset of pregnancy, it is easy to find the upper pole of the organ. Similar sensations of stony uterus in early pregnancy are due to a deficiency of progesterone.

If it is large, you will have to save the child with the help of the efforts of doctors and bed rest. But this also happens with a normal pregnancy due to motor load, shaking in transport. If the muscle spasm passes quickly, is not accompanied by severe pain and bloody discharge, there is no danger in this.

Changes associated with uterine growth

Short-term pain in the abdomen in early pregnancy, which appear during increased motor activity, is localized in the groin area. They can often be felt by women with a sudden change in body position, even coughing and sneezing.

In the cases described, this is a common occurrence caused by an increase in the load on the ligaments of the uterus. The organ is growing, and although it is not so obvious in the early stages, the pressure on its parts increases. Normally, sensations should pass soon after the onset.

The influence of the uterus on neighboring organs

The first sensations in early pregnancy can be associated, oddly enough, with the bladder and intestines. The edematous uterus and enlargement certainly affect neighboring organs.

From here. The uterus does not yet have a large size, but it irritates the walls of the bladder. If a woman tries to reduce visits to the toilet and endure, the urge intensifies, and hypertonicity may be added to it.

Unpleasant sensations during pregnancy in the early stages are presented by the intestines. They are caused by the relaxation of his muscles, like many other abdominal organs. On the one hand, this is nature's concern for the preservation of pregnancy. On the other hand, it can cause flatulence. Vasodilation in the pelvic area, inevitable during pregnancy, often provokes the appearance of hemorrhoids.

Early pregnancy and ovaries

The ovaries during pregnancy, as the tissues of the uterus grow, are pulled up to the upper part of the abdominal cavity. At first, this is not as noticeable as with its development. Actually, at the moment, these organs have done their job, that is, they have produced a healthy sex cell and their functioning is minimal. Displacement of internal organs during pregnancy

If, this means that inflammation has begun in them, which pregnancy cannot prevent. It must be stopped, otherwise a threat is created for the fetus.

Vagina during pregnancy

The vagina is the path along which the newborn will make the first movement. This is part of the reproductive system, so the changes will affect him too.

Sensations in the vagina in early pregnancy are determined by an increase in the number and diameter of vessels in the small pelvis. For the embryo, oxygen and nutrition are required, which reach its cells through the bloodstream. Therefore, the woman will feel fullness in the perineum. It is caused by stretching of the capillary and venous walls, blood pressure on them. The sensations in the lower abdomen in the early stages of pregnancy will be similar.

The vagina and before it produces mucus, which provides the normal microflora of the organ. During pregnancy, its secretory capabilities increase. A woman notes a colorless, odorless discharge. The worst they can bring is a feeling of slight discomfort. But in general, this is a common occurrence.

Breasts at the beginning of pregnancy

The breast is a very sensitive part of the female reproductive system. Strong influence it has hormones. That is why the mammary glands are the first to respond to the appearance of an embryo in the body.

Nature prepares them to produce milk for the unborn baby, doing this with the help of the hormone prolactin. The glands grow in volume, so even for the first weeks a woman should stock up on underwear a size or two more than usual.

As a result, they also become different. She becomes more receptive to touch, sometimes to the point of soreness. The feeling of fullness is added due to the expansion of the ducts through which milk will go to the nipples.

The skin of the chest acquires, as it were, transparency, because the vessels are clearly visible on it. Nipples and areolas, on the contrary, get a brighter color, also becoming a little painful.

The border of the manifestations of pregnancy and the danger to it

All processes at the initial stage of pregnancy may not coincide in detail with different women. Moreover, the bearing of the first and second child in the same mother is not the same. It is not always possible to distinguish where the ordinary manifestations of the condition are, and in which cases there is a danger to the fetus. AND still, there are criteria by which you can suspect something was wrong: Stages of miscarriage in early pregnancy

  • Sharp, throbbing pain during early pregnancy has been noticed. Accompanied by , they can mean . With this development of events, the fetus cannot be saved, but emergency care is still needed.
  • If the pain is localized in the lateral square of the abdomen, does not disappear, it is supplemented, there is a possibility that the pregnancy does not develop in the uterus, but in the tube or abdominal cavity. This condition also needs urgent intervention. If help arrives early, there is still a chance that the next pregnancy will be successful.
  • If the tests showed that there is a fetus, but the woman does not have any sensations in the early stages of pregnancy. This happens when the embryo stops developing. A frozen fetus means the cessation of cell division, the return of the hormonal background to its previous state. Hence the absence of all of its manifestations mentioned.
  • A frozen pregnancy sometimes ends in spontaneous rejection of the fetus, but in frequent cases medical intervention is required.

What if there are two of them?

Some women feel great even when they are expecting a baby: they almost do not feel sick, the discomfort that cannot be avoided is minimal. But this situation practically does not happen if twins are expected (sensations in early pregnancy can make it feel before the ultrasound).

The load that the female body carries in this case increases. What is immediately evident from the study on hCG, it will be twice as much. And the volume of progesterone, which ensures gestation, which is also the cause of not the most pleasant manifestations, is higher. That's why:

  • can be very pronounced;
  • soreness of the mammary glands is more noticeable;
  • weakness is more pronounced because of the double need for iron;
  • the stomach becomes larger by the 11th week due to the rapidly growing uterus, respectively, all the inconveniences associated with this in the form of hourly trips to the toilet, constipation are more acute;
  • abdominal pain can also be more noticeable due to the increased load on the ligaments, the risk of uterine hypertonicity and miscarriage increases.

Feelings in the early stages of a trouble-free pregnancy can be different. Sometimes they are very hard to bear, but many women have gone through this, which means that everyone can. It is important not to confuse the norm and pathology, and this can be avoided if you regularly visit a doctor, listen to your body and trust them both.

Useful video

Watch this video about the sensations during pregnancy:

To understand what feelings are, you need to understand by what criteria they can be evaluated. Criteria is another basis for classification.

Criteria serve to ensure that experiences can be measured, characterized and called a word, that is, defined.

There are three criteria for feelings:

  1. valency (tone);
  2. intensity (strength);
  3. sthenicity (activity or passivity).

The table of feelings No. 1 allows you to characterize any complex experience:

For example, a person may experience a positive strong sthenic experience. It could be love. If the intensity of sensations is weak, it is just sympathy.

The table of feelings, characterizing experiences, does not allow us to call them a word. The name can only be guessed. A person does not always have enough knowledge and experience to decide how to correctly name the emotional excitement experienced. This is not surprising, since there are a lot of them. However, some people cannot even name ten feelings, and yet so many, on average, a person experiences every day.

The third basis for classifying socially conditioned experiences is based on the underlying emotion.

American psychologist Paul Ekman identified seven basic emotions:

  • joy;
  • sadness;
  • anger;
  • fear;
  • astonishment;
  • disgust;
  • contempt.

The table of feelings No. 2 involves the search for the name of the experienced emotional experience, starting from the first four basic emotions:

BASIC EMOTIONDERIVATIVES
FearAnxiety, confusion, panic, nervousness, distrust, uncertainty, insecurity, apprehension, embarrassment, anxiety, doubt and others.
SadnessApathy, despair, guilt, resentment, concern, sadness, depression, weakness, shame, boredom, longing, depression, fatigue and others.
AngerAggression, rage, disgust, rage, anger, envy, hatred, discontent, disgust, intolerance, disgust, contempt, neglect, jealousy, annoyance, cynicism and others.
JoyCheerfulness, bliss, delight, dignity, trust, curiosity, relief, revival, optimism, peace, happiness, peace, confidence, satisfaction, love, tenderness, sympathy, euphoria, ecstasy and others.

The second table of feelings complements the first. Using these two, one can understand what kind of power has taken possession of the mind and heart, how to describe and call it. And this is the first step towards awareness.

List of moral, intellectual, aesthetic feelings

To the question: “what are the feelings”, each person can give his own answer. Someone often experiences strong and deep feelings, while for someone they are light and short. The ability to feel depends on temperament, character, principles, priorities and life experience personality.

Most often, feelings are classified depending on the sphere in which the object of experience is located:

  • Moral

These are sympathy and antipathy, respect and contempt, affection and alienation, love and hatred, as well as feelings of gratitude, collectivism, friendship and conscience. They arise in relation to the actions of other people or their own.

They are conditioned by moral norms accepted in society and acquired by the individual in the process of socialization, as well as his views, beliefs, worldview. If someone else's or one's actions correspond to moral standards, satisfaction arises; if not, indignation arises.

  • intellectual

A person also has such experiences that arise in the process mental activity or in connection with its result: joy, satisfaction from the process and result of work, discovery, invention. It is also inspiration and bitterness from failure.

  • aesthetic

Emotional unrest arises when perceiving or creating something beautiful. A person experiences incredible sensations when he sees the beauty of the Earth or the power of natural phenomena.

A person feels a sense of beauty when looking at a small child or an adult harmoniously built person. Beautiful works of art and other creations of human hands can cause delight and elation.

Since this classification does not reveal the entire palette of feelings, it is customary to classify them for several more reasons.

What is the difference between feelings and emotions

All people experience emotional experiences and excitement, but not everyone knows how to name them and express them in words. But it is precisely the knowledge of what feelings are that helps not only to correctly determine, but also to control, manage them.

Feelings are a complex of experiences associated with people, objects or events. They express a subjective evaluative attitude towards real or abstract objects.

People in everyday life and some psychologists use the words "feelings" and "emotions" as synonymous words. Others say that feelings are a kind of emotions, namely higher emotions. Still others share these concepts: emotions are classified as mental states, and feelings as mental properties.

Yes, there is a direct relationship between them, because they are human experiences. Without mental unrest, the individual would not live, but exist. They fill life with meaning, make it diverse.

But still, there are significant differences between feelings and emotions:

  • Emotions are the body's innate and instinctive responses to change. environment feelings are social experiences developed in the process of upbringing and learning. A person learns to feel, everyone knows how to express emotions from the moment of birth.
  • Emotions are difficult to control by willpower, feelings are easier to manage, despite their complexity and ambiguity. Most of them arise in a person's mind, emotions are often not recognized, as they are associated with the need to satisfy an instinctive need.
  • The feeling changes, develops and fades away, varies in strength, manifests itself in different ways, can develop into its opposite, emotion is a certain reaction. For example, if a person feels hatred for another person, it is possible that this experience will develop into love, and the emotion of fear is always fear, regardless of the object (it can be unreasonable). Fear is either there or it isn't.
  • Emotions have no subject correlation, feelings do. They are experienced in relation to something or someone differently. For example, loving a child is not the same as loving a spouse. And for example, bewilderment is always expressed in the same way, regardless of what specifically causes it.
  • Feelings are a stronger motivator than emotions. They encourage, inspire, push to commit acts in relation to the object to which they are directed. Emotions only give rise to actions in the form of responses.
  • Emotions are short and superficial, albeit vivid manifestations, and feelings are always complex and strong emotional disturbances.

It can be difficult to determine when a combination of emotions will give rise to a feeling, and what higher experience is expressed in a particular series of emotional manifestations. These are close, accompanying phenomena, but still they need to be distinguished. A person is responsible for his highest emotions and for the actions that they entail.

How to manage your feelings

When strong emotions and worries take possession of a person, even if they are positive, the psychological balance is disturbed.

For psychological health and well-being, you need to be able to measure how to enjoy positive feelings, and be upset by negative ones.

To cope with excessive sentiments that prevent you from responding adequately and acting reasonably, you need to:

  1. Characterize emotional sensations: determine valency, intensity, sthenicity (Table of feelings No. 1).
  2. Determine the underlying emotion. Choose what the experience is more like: fear, sadness, anger or joy (Table of Feelings No. 2).
  3. Decide on the name and try to understand the experiences on your own.

Sometimes spiritual impulses take possession of a person so much that he literally can neither sleep nor eat. Prolonged strong experiences are stressful for the body. It is not for nothing that nature intended that even a bright period of falling in love, when the blood is oversaturated with adrenaline, oxytocin and dopamine, does not last long, developing into a calm and thorough love.

Each person must have his own table of feelings if he wants to be a conscious person.

The eternal dispute between the mind and the heart is the question of the ability to regulate emotional, sensual impulses through the mind.

Experiencing deep and powerful experiences, a person lives life to the fullest. Limiting your sensitivity is unwise, and sometimes simply impossible. It's all about what experiences a person chooses: positive or negative, deep or superficial, real or fake.

“People eat when they're lonely, make love when they're angry, stand on the podium when they're horny. Such a perversion of the connection between sensations and behavior is evidence of alienation from oneself. I. Polster

People often confuse sensations with feelings, and feelings with emotions. Ask your friends: “What is the right way to say: I feel hungry or I feel hungry? What is resentment: feeling or emotion? What about joy? By asking these seemingly simple questions, you will receive a variety of and conflicting answers.

Unfortunately, in the psychological literature these concepts are often confused. To my great surprise, having read dozens of books by classics and contemporaries, hundreds of magazine articles, I have not come across complete system, clearly distinguishing between feelings, sensations and emotions and giving answers to their semantic differences! It would seem that there is nothing wrong with this, and you should not cling to words. It seems that there is no urgent need to draw clear and rigid boundaries between the meanings of related words. But this is only at first glance. A clear understanding of the meaning of these words and their differences is relevant for working with the human sensory sphere in all types of psychotherapy and is extremely important in such areas as gestalt, psychosynthesis and body-oriented psychology.

The distinction between these concepts and the ability to differentiate them allows you to determine the place of violation in the relationship of a person with himself and the world and purposefully work with it.

Sensations are the process of obtaining information about the properties of objects, phenomena and the internal states of the body. Information comes to us through sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch, vestibular apparatus and kinesthetics (sensory information from muscles, tendons and ligaments). You can compare the sensations with the instrument panel and sensors in the cockpit, which show flight parameters: altitude, speed, air temperature, fuel level, wind direction and strength, fuselage tilt, distance to other objects, and much more. When I have a sore throat, I feel hot, unwell, and heavy in my head, and these signs tell me that I am getting sick. If a person is deprived of sensations, then he will not be able to navigate what is happening and will not be able to do anything purposefully.

Feelings have a completely different function. If we compared the sensations with the instrument panel showing flight parameters, then the feelings can be compared with the pilot's personal assessment of these indications. I remember well that the illness on the eve of meeting with my girlfriend evoked completely different feelings in me than the same illness on the eve of the control in physics. Feelings are a process of personal assessment of the situation, which performs both signaling and organizational-guiding functions. They talk about a person's attitude to what is happening, show him good or bad from this. Thus, feelings play a dual role: they are a system of signals of well-being or trouble on the one hand, and a regulator of our desires and aspirations on the other. And speaking in the language of Gestalt, a feeling is a holistic signal about the relationship between a person's needs and the environment. Feelings can carry a huge energy potential, but even in this case, they should not be confused with emotions. Emotions are the external expression of our feelings, their presentation to the outside world. This is a non-verbal language of communication that appeared among our distant ancestors many hundreds of thousands of years ago. He helped to understand each other and successfully interact even before the advent of articulate speech and verbal communications. Even the higher animals are able to discern our emotional messages by tone of voice and facial expression.

Thus, despite the fact that feelings carry an emotional coloring and energy, they turn into emotions only when a person begins to present them to the world and people. As Lowen wrote: “To avoid confusion between these concepts, it should be noted that the word emotion suggests activity (motion - movement and the preposition e- outward, outward).” / A. Lowen. Psychology of the body /. If, due to the strength of experience or the inability to notice one's feelings, a person immediately jumps into the area of emotions, unable to realize his feelings, then they say: "There are no feelings - only emotions"!

Summarizing, we can say that:

  • sensations are information;
  • feelings - how I feel about it (my assessment);
  • emotions - how I react to it and what I express with it (my reactions and messages to the world).
Looking at these concepts in terms of their functions, it is easy to see their place on the contact cycle curve. Their informational, evaluation and contacting role in the process of satisfying the need can hardly be overestimated. I remember how many years ago, at one of the psychological trainings, I was struck by the question of the leader to one of the members of the group, whose name was Nastya: “Who are you crying for and what do you want from it”? - and her surprised answer: "No one and nothing, I just cry and that's it, I do it so often." Later it was possible to understand both her feelings, and the address of her emotions and what need she is trying to resolve by this. I was struck that emotions are not an uncontrolled element, but our choice of action and the resolution of a need, that emotions have an addressee and a specific goal. Whether the crying person is aware of this is another matter.

Consider the sequence of occurrence and manifestation of the affective wave "sensations - feelings - emotions" on the example of the cycle of meeting the needs of B. Reznik and T. Barley:

I. Stage of non-differentiation.

II. The stage of figure formation.

III. Shape focus stage.

IV. Field scanning stage.

V. The stage of resolving the need.

VI. stage of assimilation.

VII. Stage of non-differentiation.

The emergence of sensations, the growth of their intensity and the formation of a vague figure of need corresponds to the level of sensations. Focusing the figure, identifying sensations and evaluating them gives rise to feelings, accompanied by scanning the field in order to satisfy the need - the level of feelings. The choice of the mode of action and the resolution of the need corresponds to the level of emotions. Then follows the second, control wave - the level of pleasant sensations - the stage of resolution. Withdrawal and assimilation - the level of feelings (satisfaction) and final emotions. Next - a temporary lull, when the field is not differentiated. Unfortunately, this is not always the case.

Often, disruption of the gratification cycle occurs due to distortion in the perception of sensations, incorrect identification of feelings, and unconscious presentation of one's emotional reactions. The situation is complicated by the speech patterns of the language, both Russian and the languages of the Romance group. It is possible that things are different in the East, but I cannot say with certainty. We say "sense organs" instead of "sense organs"; we say "he expresses his emotions" instead of "he expresses his feelings", and of a person with poor emotional expression we say "he has few feelings". It turns out that we initially do not understand the role of sensations, we put feelings in their place, and we put emotions in place of feelings.

I want to echo Polster's well-known saying: “People eat when they're lonely, make love when they're angry, speak from the podium when they're horny. Such a perversion of the connection between sensations and behavior is evidence of alienation from oneself. / I. Polster, M. Polster. Integrative Gestalt Therapy/. If distortions at the level of sensations lead to such consequences, what happens when distortions also occur at the level of feelings and emotions? Feeling of hunger and feeling of loneliness, feeling of sexual desire and emotion of anger. Having learned to distinguish between these concepts, the client will no longer confuse anxiety and hunger, fatigue and depression, attraction and love, confidence and aggression. This list is endless, and you can think of some of the most striking examples from your own practice.

To solve these and similar questions, it seems to me that it is necessary to have:

1) The skill of differentiating sensations, feelings and emotions based on their criteria.

  • Sensations convey information about the situation inside and outside.
  • Feelings are internal assessments, reactions and experiences.
  • Emotions are the presentation of reactions and assessments to the world.
2) The skill of observation - awareness of the moments of transition of sensations into feelings, and feelings into emotions, and vice versa.

I propose several interesting exercises helping to gain practical skills of awareness and differentiation.

"List"

Make the largest possible list of feelings, emotions and sensations. No need to strive to do it all at once. It's best to do this exercise for a few days until you have an impressive list of 50 to 100 or more items.

"Sorting"

Break it down into two or three columns. I deliberately do not say that there should be two or three. It depends on whether you will include feelings and emotions in one list, when one word, depending on the context, can have different meanings, or there are strictly deterministic words. For example, where would you classify resentment? Panic? What about satisfaction?

"Fitting"

Try on each word from the list - by feeling, feeling or expressing it. Note what was easier for you and what was harder. Are there any names on the list that you could not imagine and survive at all? Even during the day, it is useful to stop for a minute or two and “catch by the tail” the emotion, feeling or sensation you are experiencing, realizing and identifying the “caught animal”. Determine the strength and clarity of what you are experiencing, according to a 10-point, 100%, or any other scale that is convenient for you.

"Pendulum of Feelings"

Listen to yourself and be aware of your actual feeling at the moment. Stay with it for a while, and then go into the area of sensations associated with this feeling, noticing and being aware of the place, strength, clarity and other parameters. Return to the realm of feelings and see what new shades have arisen in the feeling, or whether it has changed completely. And then, starting from this feeling, go into the realm of emotions, noticing how you express them in movements, gestures, facial expressions and intonation. After a while, return to the realm of feelings again and be aware of what you feel now, what has changed and what has appeared.

"Zone of Worry"

When a person is worried about some problem, a zone of anxiety arises around it from feelings, sensations and emotions. On the one hand, in this area all experiences are stronger and sharper, and on the other hand, they are less clear and stable. It is reminiscent of a room of distorting mirrors in which a person is distorted so that he looks like a skinny giant, then a wide dwarf, then walking upside down, then stretching forward like chewing gum. By daily noticing - realizing the strength and certainty of feelings, sensations and emotions in this problem zone, you will be able to track the positive dynamics of changes both in the zone itself and in the problem that gives rise to it. Working with an area in which improvements are slower should be given more time and effort.

Summing up, I note that understanding the role and place of these phenomena, as well as the ability to differentiate them is important condition for awareness - remarks of true feelings, sensations and emotions that will help the client to see and restore violations of contact with the actual need. They are the most reliable indicator of the energy processes going on in a person when the field "organism-environment" is "perturbed". Processes from the moment the first vague sensations arise to the moment the need is met and it dissolves in the surrounding background. I express my confidence that while a person exists, any violation in the "Self" system is necessarily accompanied by greater or lesser changes in the sensory sphere, both through the "Id" function and through the "Personality" function. If you run away from recognition and awareness, expecting that everything will work out automatically, on its own, then this will lead to the loss of the “Ego” function as a mechanism for assessing the situation, choosing and making adaptive decisions. As Perls wrote, “To strive for maximum automatic functioning and minimum awareness—awareness—is to strive for death before it comes.” /F.Perls, P.Goodman, R.Hefferlin. Workshop on Gestalt therapy /.
