What are the features of this call?

I can highlight three main points:

First. Every conscript who leaves for the armed forces receives electronic card conscript. This is a kind of personal matter, that is, a database where information about him is entered: anthropometric indicators (height, weight, blood type, shoe size), social status (where he was called from, education, skills, etc.). This hag will be filled as you go through the service. Information about the specialty received in the army, participation in exercises, and incentives will be entered into it. Upon transfer to the reserve, these data will be entered into a single electronic database military registration and will be used in the future when recruiting for military training. This facilitates the work of the military commissariats and puts it on a modern footing.

Secondly, all conscripts who are sent to the troops from the city recruiting center will be provided with personal hygiene products. It will be a special travel bag with the appropriate accessories: soap, toothbrush and paste, shaving kit, towel, mirror, needles and threads. This is a continuation of those measures that began to be introduced last year: the introduction of shower cabins in military units, a new set of uniforms, uniforms and equipment for military personnel. As a rule, military personnel receive the basic kit already in the unit, but the hygiene kit will be received immediately on the first day. Previously, conscripts bought these supplies at their own expense, but now the state takes full responsibility for providing its soldiers with everything necessary during their service.

Well, the third, effective January 1, 2014 the federal law dated July 2, 2013 No. 170-FZ “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts Russian Federation in terms of implementing measures to increase the prestige and attractiveness of conscripted military service.” Now citizens who have not passed military service, without legal grounds, after the conclusion of the draft board on recognizing them as such, they will receive a certificate with the corresponding entry, and not a military ID, as before, they will also not be able to continue to participate in competitions for substitution vacancies upon admission to the state or municipal service, to law enforcement agencies at enterprises where there is a share of the state as a founder. The measure is effective and, in my opinion, correct. Also from this year, a new Regulation on the military medical examination, approved by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of July 4, 2013 No. 565, is in force. military service» with crediting to the reserve. For example, flat feet of the 2nd degree, arthrosis of the 2nd degree, and some others. Now those who have such conditions will be classified as "fit with minor restrictions" and will be subject to conscription. Such conscripts will serve in military units where there is no significant physical exertion and in accordance with the specialty that they received in college or institute. Today, the army is in demand for those who know related military specialties, are good at computers, and other skills that are not associated with increased physical activity. They will also find a use and they will be able to fulfill their military duty to the Motherland with honor.

What types of troops and places of service are sent today by the Preobrazhensky military registration and enlistment office?

A few years ago, the Moscow and Leningrad military districts were merged into one - the Western. We send the guys to the units stationed on its territory. The types of troops, as I said, depend on their physical development, health, education, and, in particular, desire. At the draft board, the conscript is always asked the question: in which troops does he want to serve. Very often, many of those who have good health, express a desire to send them to the corresponding types of troops: landing, marines, to the fleet. Those who love technology and have a driver's license can be sent into the armed forces by a driver. Many young men practically want to use a year of service in the army. We help them in this. For example, we send them to study at the DOSAAF driving school in Russia. Having completed the training course and received a driver's license (it's free for a conscript), a young man really gets practical driving skills, which will undoubtedly be useful to him in a "civilian". Are conscripts changing their attitude towards military service?

They can enroll or transfer to any university, and those who studied at a paid department can continue their studies at a state-funded one, which is very important for many families. There are certain privileges and when applying for a job. Today, for many it is important not just to serve, but to serve in such a way that it is beneficial, and the current Russian army, in my opinion, contributes to this as much as possible and really is a “social lift” for many guys.

What do conscripts say when they return home?

Almost everyone who has recently returned, having gone through difficulties and matured, speaks very well of the army. And the changes that have taken place contribute to this. It is very important for us that, after serving in the army, the guys return home and share positive impressions with their friends and acquaintances. So that those who have not yet served see with their own eyes how useful service in the army is, so that they are not afraid, but consciously want to go to serve, so that they return home to their families matured and matured, skillful and strong, capable of work and responsibility for themselves, their loved ones and, ultimately, for their country.

To “cure” the modern Russian army, which was pretty ruined and beaten at the end of the last century, and to recruit people who shoot from machine guns not under duress, but voluntarily and skillfully, only the recently introduced contract service is capable of.

It is the contract servicemen, who are already adults and have passed the urgent service, who are called upon to return the former glory, attractiveness and prestige to the country's armed forces. First of all, this concerns the airborne and border troops, intelligence, naval and special forces. Service in them is considered a kind of familiarization with the military elite, so not everyone is taken there.

As the head of the defense department, Sergei Shoigu, stated, the army should be staffed either entirely from contract soldiers or from conscripts called up for five years.

However, when choosing troops, the conscript needs to focus not only on ostentatious beauty and rating. In the end, each genus or species has its own obvious advantages and disguised ones. Army at home

But in this case, the young soldier must be prepared to be sent far from the troops he expected to get into. Speaking about the conscription and assessment of troops, it is worth immediately separating the modern army from the one that until 1992 was called "Soviet".
