Named universities with the highest and lowest scores

The results of admission to universities in 2018 have been summed up.

Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova named universities, for admission to which it was necessary to score the most high scores. The long-term leader of the list - MGIMO - was ahead of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT). The average score this year at MIPT is fixed at 96.4 (94.1 last year), while at MGIMO GPA was 95.3 (95.6 last year).

The average passing score exceeded 90 points in five more universities. These are the National Research University Higher School of Economics, St. Petersburg University, ITMO, MEPhI and the St. Petersburg branch of the Higher School of Economics.

Universities, where the average score exceeded 80, this year became 30 - seven more than last year. 41 universities accepted "C" students for state-funded places. These are the students whose average USE result was less than 56 points.

As for specialties, this year applicants with an average score of 80+, as a rule, chose the following areas: jurisprudence, oriental studies, advertising and public relations, linguistics and economics. For the first time, political science and design have been added to the most popular areas this year.

70-80 points became passing for specialties in the field of health care, computer science, computer technology, mathematics, physics, oil and gas business. For the first time in 2018, the threshold of 70 points was crossed by future chemists, applicants in the specialties of biotechnology, informatics and computer engineering.

Low demand this year was for the following specialties: agriculture and fisheries, vehicles, technological machines and equipment, ecology. This caused the low passing score to these directions.

It is quite simple to select Moscow universities for the Unified State Examination on the budget on the Internet. Our site provides a popular and high-quality ranking of universities from which you can choose. you can build a rating that will offer the best educational establishments. You can choose according to the location of the university, areas of study and other factors. It is quite difficult to enter the budget, usually you need to have about eighty points in the Unified State Examination on average for this. But there are a number of highly specialized universities that are not popular due to the low popularity of their professions. You can enter such universities with mediocre results and learn an interesting and rare profession. At the end of such a university, you won’t be able to brag about a diploma from a prestigious university and a popular profession, but you can have a good job, with a decent salary and interesting responsibilities. All in all. You should not chase popular solutions if you want to select Moscow universities for the Unified State Examination upon admission to the budget.

Where is it easy to enter the budget with low USE scores?

There are a number of areas where you can enter with low scores. Of course, they do not include economics, law and management. - these are one of the most promising areas for study, if you do not have high scores. IN last years, Agriculture is actively developing, and people will never stop eating, so the relevance of these professions will not be lost over the years. It is quite easy to enroll in ecology, although the profession is experiencing a peak in popularity, you can even enroll in fairly prestigious universities as an ecologist. Another direction for admission is metrology. In general, quite a lot of professions are connected with measurement. And if metrology itself is not a very relevant area, then cadastres are quite a promising direction.

There are many other specialties and professions that you can enter with low budget scores. At first glance, it seems that there are practically no vacancies in these specialties, but it is worth considering that only one or two universities graduate specialists of this profile, and not hundreds, as in the case of economics and jurisprudence.

In Russia, the USE 2018 campaign is coming to an end, and even the second wave of exams is coming to an end. However, checking exams takes time, and this moment graduates are waiting for the latest USE results of the first wave. Someone already now understands that they scored not enough points - much less than the student expected before passing the exams. Someone did not wait for all the results and is worried about what to do if there are not enough points. What if I didn’t get the required scores in the Unified State Examination, is it possible to enter the institute, what other options remain for the applicant in 2018.

What do you mean you didn't get the required points?

First of all, it is worth, of course, to figure out what “few points for the exam” are. Some of the graduates studied perfectly all their lives and hoped for at least 80-90 points for each exam, scored an average of 77 and believes that life is over. And someone generally failed the Russian language or mathematics and runs the risk of being left without a certificate of education as such, whether to go to college at all.

Two situations can be spoken of as a small catastrophe:

  • the student could not pass one of the mandatory exams (Russian language or mathematics) and runs the risk of being left without a document on education,
  • the student did not score minimum scores according to the Unified State Examination, which were installed in Rosobrnadzor (table minimum points for each exam, we are on our website before).

The way out of the first situation is a retake. At the moment, those students who were unable to pass the mandatory USE in 2018 in the first wave know about it and even managed to retake the exams in the additional USE stage. The results of these exams will come on July 10-11.

If, as a result of the retake of mandatory USE graduate is gaining enough points, and with the results of the Unified State Examination of his choice, he is in full order, you can try to enter a university in the same year. If the exams are failed again, retake is possible only in September. Of course, you can forget about the institute, at least in 2018.

If a graduate has successfully completed the mandatory USE, but one of the elective exams failed, and the number of points scored is below the minimum, you will not be able to enter the institute. Universities simply do not have the right to accept applicants if they provide USE results below the minimum threshold from Rosobrnadzor. Even for paid education.

The first way out is to enter in a year

There is nothing wrong with this option. Retreat before the first slight difficulty, refusing to higher education because of a small failure - not the best start to adulthood. Even if the student is used to the fact that everything goes to him easily and simply, it's time to learn to get what he wants.

A graduate needs to understand that a missed year is not scary at all. It is better to get a higher education diploma a year later than not to have it at all. Unless, of course, it's really that important.

What to do during this year - you decide according to the situation. Most likely, young people risk the army, and it will be a little easier for girls.

But the main thing to do this year, if you are not in the army, is to diligently prepare for retake the exam. The results of those exams that suit you will be valid for four years, so you can focus on a problematic subject, the exam in which you passed too low scores.

Remember that graduates of previous years take the exam before the main wave - in the spring. So you will have less than one year to prepare.

The second way out is to enter the institute for a paid department

This is a way out for those who scored few points in the Unified State Examination, but still more than the minimum that closes the way to universities.

If all options with admission to the budget are impossible or uninteresting, enter the paid department. Of course, there must be financial opportunities for this. You may have to study and work at the same time.

The third way out is to get a secondary specialized education

This output is suitable for everyone. Even if you failed both mandatory exams and retake is impossible (and if you don’t pass two mandatory exams at once, the situation is just that), you can always use a certificate for the ninth grade.

With this certificate, you can enter a college, technical school or other secondary educational institution. We advise you to pay attention to colleges at universities. Quite often, these institute or university-affiliated colleges are the providers of applicants for them.

Whether the college or technical school works at the university or on its own, in any case, the road to the university after its completion is not closed to you.

Whatever situation you find yourself in and no matter how hopeless it may seem to you, in fact, if you set yourself the goal of getting a higher education, you will get it. And it is still unknown which university graduate will achieve greater success - an excellent student who is used to getting everything easy or one who has already learned to overcome life's difficulties by the time he receives his diploma.

About 1,000 head universities and 1,500 branches are currently operating in Russia. Almost 500,000 students have been opened in universities this year. budget places including bachelor's, specialist's and master's degrees. There are 760 thousand graduates, so there should be enough places for everyone who has at least average knowledge. But not everything is so simple. First, many universities have raised the minimum threshold scores. Secondly, this year there are new admission rules: the number of beneficiaries cannot be more than 10%, and enrollment waves - no more than two. Universities are required to provide maximum information on their websites, but some universities do not even have a division of applicants into faculties.

The first unpleasant news of this admission campaign: almost all universities refused to accept documents for e-mail. If you live in Izhevsk or Saransk, but if you want to take part in a competition in the capital's universities, buy a ticket for 2,000 rubles and think about where to spend the night. Then you will have to come to the university again with a certificate, wait for enrollment. And if you were accepted to a university, then at the end of August, come back to Moscow.

The RG columnist, together with a familiar entrant from the provinces, tried to apply to the capital's universities. So, we have copies of documents and 215 points on the exam.

The first "point" is the Moscow State Regional Pedagogical University. To submit documents, you must first register in the electronic queue. Then, with a number on a piece of paper, applicants are sent to the hall where documents are submitted. Parents are basically not allowed anywhere. You can wait only in the corridor near a bored student who makes sure that outsiders do not leak into the hall.

At your university? - I ask.

Eat. And here, and in the suburbs - in Mytishchi, Korolev, still, it seems, in Noginsk. Where there are educational buildings. For example, I live in Gzhel, and I go to study in Mytishchi, - says the girl.

Wow! We did not see any information on the site that the university is scattered throughout the region, and in general the hostel in Mytishchi or Korolev does not really suit us.

Yes, don't worry! What do you think, I go to school every day?! You can skip classes.

It turned out that the student is studying at the faculty correctional pedagogy, but work at school: "What am I, a fool or what?"

Meanwhile, news came from the admissions committee. A medical certificate certified by a notary is required for a set of our copies of documents. After much clarification, we decide that we will send a scan of the document to the commission by e-mail. Everyone seems to agree.

The next address is RSUH. The university is quiet, the corridors are empty. Apparently, all applicants have already submitted documents. We are very welcome at the Faculty of Law, although they immediately announce: "Do you know that you will be on the list at number 620, but there are only 8 places?" What should I do? Once they arrived, they submitted the documents. And pretty fast. Future historians treat parents and accompanying persons much more respectfully than teachers.

The road to the next university - Moscow State Pedagogical University - takes almost an hour and a half. The selection committee, contrary to the schedule on the site, finishes work not at 6, but at 5 o'clock. It's ten past five on the clock. Taught by previous experience, we immediately take the bull by the horns. We are hiring student consultants:

Where are the university buildings, is there a hostel, where is it located, do you need a certified medical certificate?

It turns out that a medical certificate is not needed, there is a hostel, and even a very good one.

You, most importantly, leave your phone number, both mobile and home. And write down mine, too, - the consultant insistently suggests. Then we still did not understand that personal communication with someone from the selection committee and a timely call to the applicant, by and large, is the key to successful admission.

After reading the admission rules 20 times and interviewing all employees admissions committees, it finally became clear how the enrollment would go.

Let's say 150 people submitted copies of documents for 20 places. The first 20 applicants recommended for enrollment are allocated to the first wave. As life shows, the originals will bring four people at most. 16 places for the second wave are free. The following 16 applicants are recommended for enrollment, starting with number 21. But they will take everyone who brings the originals.

High-scorers are called and persuaded to give certificates. And then who cares. So that's why applicants with low scores immediately bring originals to universities! They hope to sit out and get on the list. And after all someone gets!

Suddenly someone loses the phone, does not hear the call, does not have time to answer? After all, admissions officers can probably call "their" applicants with lower scores first of all? I asked all these questions to the rector of one of the universities.

We don't have any problems, he laughed. - Almost all places are occupied already in the first wave. But you are right, the situation is ambiguous.

Universities must honestly provide all information on admission, update information almost every hour. Phone calls to applicants - in general stone Age! It is easier to send an email, but even this measure may be useless if it takes more than two days to get to Moscow. And, most importantly, there is no point in applying to five universities, otherwise you can lose. And the one who has sat up to enrollment will go to the university.

By the way

This year at MEPhI in physics minimum threshold- from 55 to 65 points depending on the specialty. For one of the popular specialties of the university - management and economics of high technologies - the competition is already 9 people per place!

In RNIMU them. Pirogov, to participate in the competition, you must score at least 70 points in chemistry and 60 in biology. The same rules apply to targets. As a result, some of the target places are still empty. In the Pediatrics department, for example, there are 201 places for targeted reception, and there are only 104 applications. There are even free places for target recipients at the Medical Business. The university is ready to accept 301 people for study, and so far 260 applicants.

Competently

Alexander Bezborodov, Vice-Rector of the Russian State University for the Humanities

In general, the income model works well. If we decided that applicants can apply to several universities for several programs, waves of enrollment are indispensable. Enrollment really sometimes goes in manual mode, admissions officers fight for each applicant, work a lot on the phone, and persuade. Without this, it is impossible - there is a lot of competition among universities. This is also evidenced by the fact that on the websites of some universities there is no information about the scores that applicants brought, and other necessary information. It is probably unprofitable to show that the scores are not so big. Although I believe that the USE of 2014, with all the tough measures, justified itself. I see that guys and girls come to us with lower USE scores than last year, but you can be sure that they did not copy off the answers in the toilet and in September the university will receive good students.

It is felt that people have become more careful in planning expenses. Increased competition for extramural. Master's degree is in high demand. This year we have more places for master's programs.

Specifically

What is the current competition in prestigious universities

Moscow State University Faculty of Economics- 10 people per seat

Moscow State University, Faculty of Law - 7 people per place.

MGIMO (specialty " International relationships") - 60 people per place.

HSE, world economy - 24 people per place.

HSE, jurisprudence - 3 people per place.
