Institute of dvfu admission. Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), Vladivostok - “dvfu dream university? Or is it worth spending time looking for another place to study? Why is it important to score high

Hi all!

After studying at the Far Eastern Federal University for some time, I decided to write a review, weigh all the pros and cons.

Here is the FEFU website, where everything is described in great detail.

Admission

Like any other university, you can apply here USE results or entrance exams if you already have a higher or secondary special education. Documents can be submitted electronically, in person and by mail (if you passed the points).

Passing score

The passing score depends on the specialty and school. So, the School of Natural Sciences (SHEN) received on the budget with 140 points, although the School of Biomedicine (SHBM) barely passed with 210. Every year the points are different, but either I was lucky, or an accident, but it was in the year of my on admission, the passing scores in some specialties were reduced, including mine.

Schools

In total, there are 9 schools in FEFU. These are some kind of institutions.

  1. School of Natural Sciences (SHEN)
  2. School of Biomedicine (SBM)
  3. School of Pedagogy (SHP)
  4. School of Art, Culture and Sports (SHIKS)
  5. School of Engineering (IS)
  6. Oriental Institute - School of Regional and International Studies (VI-SHRMI)
  7. School of Economics and Management (SEM)
  8. School of Humanities (SHS)
  9. Law School (YSh)

Each school has its own building, sometimes several. There can be several schools in one building. Almost all buildings are connected by walkways.

Corps

There are 12 buildings in total, 2 of them are located outside the campus, 3 are sports buildings, A is the main building.

Each building has several food outlets: somewhere fast food, somewhere canteens. As for prices. everything is VERY VERY expensive! But delicious. I often take rolls, bagels, pies and coffee. It's just that there are no canteens in my building. And you can even buy ice cream, milkshakes, waffles, very healthy cookies, eclairs, pies, fruit drinks and much more! In general, if you have money, then you will not stay hungry. Almost all food outlets are very cozy: there are soft sofas, tables, lamps, toys, pillows and books. The best thing is to wait for a couple!

Also in the buildings there are copy centers or machines. On average, there are 4 rubles per sheet. So there you can easily print a diploma or term paper, as well as flash the work.

Absolutely in every building, at almost every step, there are toilet rooms that have EVERYTHING. And it's always clean, everything is always delivered on time.

There is also a hardware store on campus where you can buy EVERYTHING!!! From simple batteries, up to 7 iPhones. And the quality is there, in my opinion, on highest level. Plus, they still repair equipment there, so if there are any problems, then you won’t have to go to the city.

Building A is a different story. There are 3 or more food places in this building, but I don’t remember, two branches of banks - Sberbank and Gazprombank, also a branch of Rosneft. In this case, you can buy everything for poor eyesight, as well as check it. Separately, we can say about the SENS salon: this is where everything is done with high quality and you don’t have to worry about the result. They do everything: from cutting bangs to treating hair with fire, tattoos, shugaring. There is also a solarium. And the prices here are reasonable.

At level 10 is a big library where you can find everything you want.

In general, all sorts of rehearsals and games are held in the A building, like "What Where When?" or "Custom game".

Now about studying

Studying here, I will say right away, is very difficult. And it’s not even difficult in passing the session, but in the fact that this session affects the settlement on the campus, otherwise you will have to live in a city not in the dorm itself. Another difficulty is the zero rating. This is when you are put on what you have worked for during the semester, without the possibility of correcting it, even a session will not help. The average score for settling on campus is 4.25. only the second session affects, practice does not affect. However, the rating system has its advantages - you can close the session before it starts, on the test week. Another fat minus is the Bachelor's program 2.0. This is when you study unnecessary disciplines, so that later if you can go to the second diploma without any problems.

The study starts at 8:30, the couple goes 1.5 hours, and the break is 10 minutes. But sometimes, when you need to run to another building, these 10 minutes are simply not enough.

There can be no more than 5 pairs in total, although some are given an additional 6 - this can be either a consultation or just a transfer.

The teachers, specifically in my department, are just perfect. I don't know why I'm so lucky with them.

Physical training

I will highlight it as a separate item, because I would like to tell you more about the directions.

As you know, the army of any direction and engage in it at least all the time, BUT! not in undergraduate 2.0, although concessions were made here and many remained where they were. The bottom line is that in 2 years, 4 semesters, everyone must go through 4 different directions. Minus - in the fall you do not immediately go to study in the direction that you have chosen, but study on the street, under the sun. The couple walks for about an hour.

One of the directions is swimming. You can go there even if you don’t know how to swim, most likely they will teach you. But the view leaves much to be desired - a one-piece swimsuit, glasses, a hat and slippers. You won't be beautiful there) It's easy to get a credit - you need to pass several types of swimming.

Sports games: football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis are still one direction. But you do not play the whole couple, but only after the warm-up, which takes up most of the time.

Martial arts. To be honest, I still don't understand what needs to be done.

Aerobics. Usual fitness, but to get a credit, you need to pass a combination, like a dance, and the load there is big, so few people want to go there.

Gym. You do the whole couple on simulators, warm up and that's it.

SPECIAL GROUP! MY FAVORITE SPECIAL GROUP! This is the place where I run with joy. Firstly, you choose what you do today: badminton, stretching, running, darts, table tennis, jump rope, back exercises. You can also relax, doing almost nothing. In autumn, a walk in the woods, along the embankment, in the park. This is just a dream, not physical education.

Scholarship

Scholarship for admission to the budget - 1700-1800 rubles. High scorers have 3500-4500. At the end of the session without 3, but not for "excellent" - 2800. For "excellent" in ordinary specialties - 4500. For rare, where few people go, it is difficult to study - 7500. Plus, if you go to all sorts of sections, student councils, then you the scholarship is even more, but it would be for this time ...

You can go to study as a counselor, guide or builder and earn money over the summer, although the training itself will be paid.

Paid training

On average, the price is 120,000-170,000, but with excellent study you can transfer to the budget or take the target as a last resort.

Hotel buildings

In total, there are 9 hotel buildings on the campus, on Ajax like 5. The buildings on Ajax practically do not differ from campus ones. Well, city dormitories don't count, it's hard to call a hostel, but there seem to be 3 of them. You can choose between 2, 3 and 4-bed rooms. The price is different for everyone, for a 3-room suite 3100 per month (with a refrigerator without a sea view). The suite is two rooms. One of them has 2 beds, the other has one bed. Someone is lucky who will move in faster) The room has a bath, shower and toilet. Of the minuses: thin walls, breakdowns after previous residents, cockroaches (they are not there at the entrance, they already settle with people), but they are poisoned. Water (but it can be ordered). Although the hair and skin from it deteriorate notably. Of the benefits: if something breaks through no fault of yours or gets clogged, then everything will be done for you for free. Once every 1-2 weeks, cleaning in buildings, washing mirrors, toilet bowls, vacuuming. But if something suddenly happened, then you can always ask for a vacuum cleaner at the reception. Iron, by the way, too. You can also put another refrigerator, microwave, multicooker, kettle in the room. But absolutely no tiles!

Also in some buildings (6,8,9) there are shops. It's more expensive than in the city, but you can buy. There is everything from toilet paper to a pregnancy test. In building 8 there is a cosmetics store. There is a small pharmacy in building 7. In the 10th Worpus Medical Center. In building 9 they take photos, keys and seals. There is a hairdressing salon in building 11. At 8 and 11 - paid laundries.

Kitchen

The kitchen has 2 stoves with 4 burners, 2 tables, 2 sinks and a microwave. If you need a baking sheet, you can take it at the reception. Before cooking, be sure to turn on the hood. Sometimes especially sloppy people are too lazy to clean up after themselves, so you can often see a greasy stove with all sorts of pieces of food, a dirty table and a clogged sink. All this is washed, but sometimes you have to do it yourself, because it’s not very good to cook in a pigsty.

Rules

Well, as in all hostels, you can not drink, smoke (anything), carry weapons, drugs. By the way, there are smoking rooms all over the building, where you can stand quietly with a cigarette and they won't tell you anything. Entry by pass only. If someone comes, you leave a pass, everything is simple. But the protection, at least we are not fair. When we allegedly violated the rules of residence, although they only heard the conversation and did not know for sure whether this was true or not, they only wrote me as the violators, although they "caught" several people. Oh yes, they also check bags, so it’s better not to put anything prohibitive there.

_______________________________________________________________________________________

In general, if you do not want to study, then you better look for another place. Because it’s really difficult here, you need to study without 3, otherwise you will live in a garbage dump in a city hostel. So you will lose time, money and desire.

All questions can be answered in the community

In the Russian labor market, very different employers declare their needs. Someone needs workers with secondary vocational education, and someone needs specialists with higher education. At the same time, one feature unites employers. All of them need well-trained people who have the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Such personnel are issued from the Far Eastern Federal University. What faculties and specialties are offered at FEFU? Before answering this question, let's get to know this educational institution better.

FEFU: what kind of university is it

The Far Eastern Federal University operates in Vladivostok. But not only in this city they know about the named university. FEFU is known in many regions of Russia, because it is the most prestigious university in the Far East. Its history began in the 19th century. In the summer of 1899, Emperor Nicholas II signed a decree on the opening of the Oriental Institute. This educational institution was to become the first classical university in Far East and throughout Eastern Siberia.

The emperor's decree was carried out in the autumn of the same year. The opening of the Oriental Institute took place on 21 October. During for long years The university has grown and developed. Its first enlargement took place in 1920. The Oriental Institute was merged with several private educational institutions. The result of this procedure was the emergence of the Far Eastern State University. Another significant merger with other universities took place already in 2010-2011. Far Eastern State University formed a new university together with the Far East technical university, Pacific economic university and Ussuri pedagogical institute. This is how the currently known FEFU appeared with a wide variety of specialties and faculties (schools).

FEFU employees advise school graduates to start their own life path from programs of secondary vocational education. In a university college, you can not only get a profession, but also prepare for studying at a university, adapt to student life. However, many school graduates still focus on higher education programs. In 2017, just over 500 people chose college and over 4,000 people chose bachelor's and specialist's degrees.

The most popular specialties and passing scores

Without exception, all applicants dream of a good career. Some plan to work abroad or in Russia, but still want to be connected to the international arena. For this reason, at the Far Eastern Federal University, annually in the list of the most popular specialties among applicants are such programs as "international relations", "oriental and African studies", "foreign regional studies", "journalism". Applicants are of great interest medical specialties. They seem interesting, noble, as they require further assistance to people.

Competition in popular specialties is very high. 25-30 people apply for budget places. In 2017, the number of budget places and the passing score at FEFU in popular specialties were as follows:

  • 12 places and 267 points on " international relations»;
  • 18 places and 260 points in Oriental and African Studies;
  • 13 places and 255 points in "foreign regional studies";
  • 8 places and 353 points in "journalism" (a higher score is due to the presence of 4 entrance tests, not 3);
  • 15 places and 216 points in "medical biophysics";
  • 18 places and 181 points in the "medical business".

Preparation for admission to FEFU

At the Far Eastern Federal University, preparatory courses are open to everyone. They can refresh existing knowledge, fill in the gaps. Training courses at the university are very effective, because classes for schoolchildren are conducted by highly qualified teachers of the departments of the university. FEFU specialists have many years of experience not only in the field of university teaching, but also in the field of pre-university education.

When registering for classes, each applicant chooses the necessary courses for himself:

Why is it important to score high

Thorough preparation is recommended. The goal should be one - to score high scores in all subjects. In FEFU, faculties and specialties are chosen by very worthy people (graduates who graduated from school with a medal and a red certificate, winners of regional and all-Russian olympiads), who get into state-funded places. Only with serious study in the courses and self-training for exams, you can compete with such people and compete for a chance to get an education free of charge.

High scores still need to strive for one reason. In FEFU, students with high scores receive an increased scholarship during the first semester. Students from other regions of Russia are additionally paid compensation for all transportation costs.

Many people dream of studying at FEFU in Vladivostok and in those cities where branches are located. It is quite possible to become a student of a well-known, large and prestigious university in our country. You just need to devote time to study, additional classes at school (electives), courses at the university itself, strive to gain new knowledge. With excellent preparation, it will be possible to enter any department of FEFU - the Faculty of Law, the School of Biomedicine, etc.
