The Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) has approved admission rules and a plan for enrolling students in 2017. For full-time and part-time bachelor's, specialist's and master's programs, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia provided FEFU 4543 budget places a - 107 more than in 2016.

FEFU Press Service,

Hi all!

After studying at the Far Eastern Federal University for some time, I decided to write a review, weigh all the pros and cons.

Here is the FEFU website, where everything is described in great detail.

Admission

Like any other university, you can apply here USE results or entrance exams if you already have a higher or secondary special education. Documents can be submitted electronically, in person and by mail (if you passed the points).

Passing score

The passing score depends on the specialty and school. So, the School of Natural Sciences (SHEN) received on the budget with 140 points, although the School of Biomedicine (SHBM) barely passed with 210. Every year the points are different, but either I was lucky, or an accident, but it was in the year of my on admission, the passing scores in some specialties were reduced, including mine.

Schools

In total, there are 9 schools in FEFU. These are some kind of institutions.

  1. School of Natural Sciences (SHEN)
  2. School of Biomedicine (SBM)
  3. School of Pedagogy (SHP)
  4. School of Art, Culture and Sports (SHIKS)
  5. School of Engineering (IS)
  6. Oriental Institute - School of Regional and International Studies (VI-SHRMI)
  7. School of Economics and Management (SEM)
  8. School Humanities(SHGN)
  9. Law School (YSh)

Each school has its own building, sometimes several. There can be several schools in one building. Almost all buildings are connected by walkways.

Corps

There are 12 buildings in total, 2 of them are located outside the campus, 3 are sports buildings, A is the main building.

Each building has several food outlets: somewhere fast food, somewhere canteens. As for prices. everything is VERY VERY expensive! But delicious. I often take rolls, bagels, pies and coffee. It's just that there are no canteens in my building. And you can even buy ice cream, milkshakes, waffles, very healthy cookies, eclairs, pies, fruit drinks and much more! In general, if you have money, then you will not stay hungry. Almost all food outlets are very cozy: there are soft sofas, tables, lamps, toys, pillows and books. The best thing is to wait for a couple!

Also in the buildings there are copy centers or machines. On average, there are 4 rubles per sheet. So there you can easily print a diploma or term paper, as well as flash the work.

Absolutely in every building, at almost every step, there are toilet rooms that have EVERYTHING. And it's always clean, everything is always delivered on time.

There is also a hardware store on campus where you can buy EVERYTHING!!! From simple batteries, up to 7 iPhones. And the quality is there, in my opinion, on highest level. Plus, they still repair equipment there, so if there are any problems, then you won’t have to go to the city.

Building A is a different story. There are 3 or more food places in this building, but I don’t remember, two branches of banks - Sberbank and Gazprombank, also a branch of Rosneft. In this case, you can buy everything for poor eyesight, as well as check it. Separately, we can say about the SENS salon: this is where everything is done with high quality and you don’t have to worry about the result. They do everything: from cutting bangs to treating hair with fire, tattoos, shugaring. There is also a solarium. And the prices here are reasonable.

At level 10 is a big library where you can find everything you want.

In general, all sorts of rehearsals and games are held in the A building, like "What Where When?" or "Custom game".

Now about studying

Studying here, I will say right away, is very difficult. And it’s not even difficult in passing the session, but in the fact that this session affects the settlement on the campus, otherwise you will have to live in a city not in the dorm itself. Another difficulty is the zero rating. This is when you are put on what you have worked for during the semester, without the possibility of correcting it, even a session will not help. Average score for settlement on campus - 4.25. only the second session affects, practice does not affect. However, the rating system has its advantages - you can close the session before it starts, on the test week. Another fat minus is the Bachelor's program 2.0. This is when you study unnecessary disciplines, so that later if you can go to the second diploma without any problems.

The study starts at 8:30, the couple goes 1.5 hours, and the break is 10 minutes. But sometimes, when you need to run to another building, these 10 minutes are simply not enough.

There can be no more than 5 pairs in total, although some are given an additional 6 - this can be either a consultation or just a transfer.

The teachers, specifically in my department, are just perfect. I don't know why I'm so lucky with them.

Physical training

I will highlight it as a separate item, because I would like to tell you more about the directions.

As you know, the army of any direction and engage in it at least all the time, BUT! not in undergraduate 2.0, although concessions were made here and many remained where they were. The bottom line is that in 2 years, 4 semesters, everyone must go through 4 different directions. Minus - in the fall you do not immediately go to study in the direction that you have chosen, but study on the street, under the sun. The couple walks for about an hour.

One of the directions is swimming. You can go there even if you don’t know how to swim, most likely they will teach you. But the view leaves much to be desired - a one-piece swimsuit, glasses, a hat and slippers. You won't be beautiful there) It's easy to get a credit - you need to pass several types of swimming.

Sports games: football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis are still one direction. But you do not play the whole couple, but only after the warm-up, which takes up most of the time.

Martial arts. To be honest, I still don't understand what needs to be done.

Aerobics. Usual fitness, but to get a credit, you need to pass a combination, like a dance, and the load there is big, so few people want to go there.

Gym. You do the whole couple on simulators, warm up and that's it.

SPECIAL GROUP! MY FAVORITE SPECIAL GROUP! This is the place where I run with joy. Firstly, you choose what you do today: badminton, stretching, running, darts, table tennis, jump rope, back exercises. You can also relax, doing almost nothing. In autumn, a walk in the woods, along the embankment, in the park. This is just a dream, not physical education.

Scholarship

Scholarship for admission to the budget - 1700-1800 rubles. High scorers have 3500-4500. At the end of the session without 3, but not for "excellent" - 2800. For "excellent" in ordinary specialties - 4500. For rare, where few people go, it is difficult to study - 7500. Plus, if you go to all sorts of sections, student councils, then you the scholarship is even more, but it would be for this time ...

You can go to study as a counselor, guide or builder and earn money over the summer, although the training itself will be paid.

Paid training

On average, the price is 120,000-170,000, but with excellent study you can transfer to the budget or take the target as a last resort.

Hotel buildings

In total, there are 9 hotel buildings on the campus, on Ajax like 5. The buildings on Ajax practically do not differ from campus ones. Well, city dormitories don't count, it's hard to call a hostel, but there seem to be 3 of them. You can choose between 2, 3 and 4-bed rooms. The price is different for everyone, for a 3-room suite 3100 per month (with a refrigerator without a sea view). The suite is two rooms. One of them has 2 beds, the other has one bed. Someone is lucky who will move in faster) The room has a bath, shower and toilet. Of the minuses: thin walls, breakdowns after previous residents, cockroaches (they are not there at the entrance, they already settle with people), but they are poisoned. Water (but it can be ordered). Although the hair and skin from it deteriorate notably. Of the benefits: if something breaks through no fault of yours or gets clogged, then everything will be done for you for free. Once every 1-2 weeks, cleaning in buildings, washing mirrors, toilet bowls, vacuuming. But if something suddenly happened, then you can always ask for a vacuum cleaner at the reception. Iron, by the way, too. You can also put another refrigerator, microwave, multicooker, kettle in the room. But absolutely no tiles!

Also in some buildings (6,8,9) there are shops. It's more expensive than in the city, but you can buy. There is everything from toilet paper to a pregnancy test. In building 8 there is a cosmetics store. There is a small pharmacy in building 7. In the 10th Worpus Medical Center. In building 9 they take photos, keys and seals. There is a hairdressing salon in building 11. At 8 and 11 - paid laundries.

Kitchen

The kitchen has 2 stoves with 4 burners, 2 tables, 2 sinks and a microwave. If you need a baking sheet, you can take it at the reception. Before cooking, be sure to turn on the hood. Sometimes especially sloppy people are too lazy to clean up after themselves, so you can often see a greasy stove with all sorts of pieces of food, a dirty table and a clogged sink. All this is washed, but sometimes you have to do it yourself, because it’s not very good to cook in a pigsty.

Rules

Well, as in all hostels, you can not drink, smoke (anything), carry weapons, drugs. By the way, there are smoking rooms all over the building, where you can stand quietly with a cigarette and they won't tell you anything. Entry by pass only. If someone comes, you leave a pass, everything is simple. But the protection, at least we are not fair. When we allegedly violated the rules of residence, although they only heard the conversation and did not know for sure whether this was true or not, they only wrote me as the violators, although they "caught" several people. Oh yes, they also check bags, so it’s better not to put anything prohibitive there.

_______________________________________________________________________________________

In general, if you do not want to study, then you better look for another place. Because it’s really difficult here, you need to study without 3, otherwise you will live in a garbage dump in a city hostel. So you will lose time, money and desire.

A little more than a month remains before the start of the final certification in schools, after which the admission campaign for higher education starts immediately. educational establishments. At the Far Eastern Federal University, they are meticulously preparing for this stage, given the annually growing interest of applicants for the country's easternmost university with the infrastructure of a "student campus" saturated with scientific, educational and international agendas. In 2015, school graduates from 76 regions of the Russian Federation appreciated all the advantages and rushed to Russky Island for knowledge. This year the flow promises to be higher.

He told RIA PrimaMedia - how the admission campaign will go, who can count on a budget place and how not to "fly" with the choice of a training program.

Andrei Nikolaevich, there is an opinion that there is a lot of competition among universities, there is an active struggle for each student. Therefore, universities are ready to take on almost everyone - is this a working installation?

I strongly disagree with this opinion. Among universities, of course, there is competition, very high, but this is not an indicator of thoughtless enrollment of all comers. The university is not a vacuum cleaner to collect everyone in a row. FEFU, confirming the status of a federal university and holding high places in the rankings, consistently increases the requirements for applicants and enrolls only the best - we really strive for this.

Rules for admission to the Far Eastern Federal University for 2016-2017 academic year fundamentally different from those in the past. Applicants retain the right to enter five universities in the country in three directions in each of them. The main criterion for admission is the number of points scored on the exam. In 2016, applicants can also receive extra points for individual achievements - up to 10 points in total. In FEFU, such achievements are: obtaining a gold TRP badge (2 points), gold or silver medal(5 points), a diploma of secondary vocational education with honors (5 points), a diploma of the winner or prize-winner of Olympiads for schoolchildren, the list of which is established by the FEFU university (5 points).

A high-quality education in all respects is possible within the walls of the university where talented and motivated students have entered. FEFU, in fact, forms a team from among the students, because the goals are ambitious. We do not have a task - to train a young man and release. There is a goal - to educate, to fill with knowledge and skills to the maximum, to find a job - and it is important to find a job within the Primorsky Territory.

An applicant today must understand that entering a university is the first serious test in his adult life. If there is a desire to study within the walls of one of the best universities in Russia, then you need to try to be purposeful and disciplined. Parents and children should understand that higher education should be as successful and fruitful as possible, becoming the foundation of a future career.

FEFU - participantNational Project 5-100 , the key result of which should be the appearance in Russia by 2020 of modern leading universities with an effective management structure and international academic reputation, capable of setting trends in the development of world higher education.

How is the preparation for admission campaign? Do you make predictions about the number of applicants?

Far Eastern Federal University has completed a set of measures to prepare for the start of the 2016 admissions campaign. In January and March on the campus on about. Russian with a large confluence of schoolchildren and parents held two Days open doors. These meetings, traditional for us, with potential applicants made it clear how much interest graduates have today in entering FEFU. This is an interest in the university as a whole, in its specific Schools, in new laboratories, buildings, and educational programs. Many questions concerned living conditions - for non-residents this is extremely important. Today young man want not only to receive higher education and get a quality education, and young years are the best in life, to spend in comfortable conditions. Far Eastern Federal University fully complies with these requirements.

- How actively does the university attract applicants from other regions of Russia?

FEFU today is truly a federal university. Since 2011, we have been consistently working to attract talented people from outside Primorye. The university was created not as a regional one, but at least as a Far Eastern one. The past four years have shown that FEFU has stepped far beyond the borders of the region in terms of student geography.

According to the results of the admission campaign in 2015, applicants already represented 76 constituent entities of the Russian Federation - almost the entire country. We have reached the indicator when half of the applicants who participate in the competition come from outside Primorye. Competition among entrants has intensified, and at the same time the quality of enrollment has increased significantly.

- What are the features of this year's admissions campaign?

I repeat that there are no fundamental changes. And this is good, because any changes cause nervousness among applicants and parents.

Certain innovations concern the winners and prize-winners All-Russian Olympiads schoolchildren. In accordance with them, the results of the Olympiads are now valid for four years following the year of the competition. This expands the opportunities for gifted applicants, because previously their success was taken into account for admission for only one year.

The only nuance should be taken into account - in 2016, the deadlines for accepting documents have been tightened. Acceptance of documents from applicants in all areas and forms of study starts on June 20. Enrollment in full-time bachelor's and specialist's programs to places financed from the federal budget will take place in two stages: before August 1 and before August 6; in the magistracy - until August 17. Admission to contractual places ends 10 days before the start of classes.

Will go to the budget - organized and purposeful applicants. High scores play a decisive role, but you should not carelessly treat the deadlines for submitting documents.

- How many budget places will FEFU offer to its applicants?

On full-time and correspondence forms Education The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia has approved 4,436 places for the university, financed from the federal budget. The recruitment plan has remained at the level of the previous year, which means that the ministry sees us as a responsible executor of the state task. The number of budget places is good, so school graduates have a real chance to get a higher education at the expense of the state.

The vast majority of budget places face-to-face education, which is formed mainly by school graduates, but negative demographic processes still persist. Yes, there are no abrupt transitions, but there are few graduates; because of this, universities have frozen in a hole. For FEFU, with its huge potential, there is already a catastrophic shortage of applicants from Primorye, so we are trying to intensively recruit from other regions. This is the first direction, and the second is to attract students from abroad. This year and the next, we will significantly increase the number of foreign students admitted to the first year, primarily from neighboring countries. Already today, more than 2,500 foreign students are studying at the Far Eastern Federal University, by 2019 we will reach the figure of 30% of foreign students.

- It's good that foreign students come to you, but do you manage to attract teachers from abroad?

You correctly noted that international competitiveness is expressed not only in the interest of foreign students in the university, but also among teaching staff, including recognized scientists. We are also actively working in this direction.

FEFU experts developed a development project scientific work university, which was named 35 TopLabs. In the coming years, FEFU will create new scientific laboratories led by outstanding scientists who will contribute to enhancing the scientific reputation of the university and bring it to the forefront of modern science.

Lead the first , well-known epigeneticist Alexander Kagansky from the UK, world-class Japanese scientist in the field of combustion Kaoru Maruta.

In addition, leading foreign scientists, representatives of major universities constantly give lectures at FEFU. Our teachers are increasingly traveling to scientific conferences and internships abroad.

- Tell us about the Olympiads and other competitions at FEFU that increase the chances of schoolchildren to become students?

This year, the number of participants in subject Olympiads held by FEFU independently or jointly with partners has almost doubled. This trend pleases us and demonstrates the demand for work in this direction. More than 2,000 people from all over the country participated in the same Olympiad "Ocean of Knowledge" at the preliminary stage, more than 500 people participated in the final. as part of the "Russian Intellect" shift. According to its results, more than 140 high school students became winners and prize-winners this year, who, upon entering FEFU, will receive an additional five points to those scored when passing the Unified State Examination.

FEFU also traditionally acts as a regional platform for holding more than two dozen Olympiads with partner universities. Children from all over participated in these Olympiads. Far East and other Russian regions.

- What incentive programs have been developed at FEFU to attract talented applicants?

From year to year we encourage applicants with high scores USE. This is an important indicator when an applicant with high scores with which he will be admitted to any metropolitan university decides to overcome a long distance, sometimes he is ready to travel from the other side of the country to enter our university. The status of high scorers is received by applicants who scored in total based on the results of three entrance exams and for individual achievements of 210 or more points. For applicants to areas with four entrance tests given score is set at 300. For all applicants who meet this criterion and are enrolled in the first year, FEFU guarantees payment from the first semester of study higher scholarship. According to statistics, 1200-1300 people become holders of such a scholarship every year. In addition, students with high scores who entered the university from outside Primorye will be able to reimburse the cost of travel to the place of study at the expense of the university.

I will add that in the "Admission Campaign 2016" section of the FEFU website, future applicants and their parents also have access to full information about the upcoming recruitment, admission rules, the number of budget places, entrance examinations, deadlines for submitting documents and stages of enrollment.
