The war has long died down. And once our grandparents were young. They loved, hated, laughed in the face of death, and cried, losing comrades. Their youth fell on the harsh time of the war.

The war must not be repeated!

A river of time, years and decades separate us from the past Great Patriotic War, but strangely, this war does not want to become only history for us. On the contrary, it appears before us brighter in all its tragedy and heroism. They talk about it, shout, whisper poems and songs, stories, stories and movies. And it is a great happiness that eyewitnesses and participants in that distant Great Patriotic War live among us, who share their memories with us.

The library compiled and published a booklet about M.P. Aleksandrov, the presentation of which took place at a meeting with the veteran. When the author of the booklet, the leading librarian Stolova I.V. asked him what he could wish for today's generation, he replied: “The main thing everywhere and everywhere is to be an honest person, friendly to people, always put yourself in the place of the person who turned to you and live your life so that later you would not be ashamed to remember the past ".

One can say about Mikhail Pavlovich in one capacious phrase: "he fully gave his debt to his homeland and lived his life honestly, conscientiously and for the people."

Children of the war years ... What is fascism, they saw through the eyes of their soul, with all its childish purity and impressionability. It was a tough school. School of barbed wire and shouting. School of bullets and gallows. School for justice. Children of war became adults very early. They understood that cruelty is an instrument of fear. But this experience of cruelty did not harden and embitter their souls, but only strengthened in them the truly human that was inherent in them - the chairman of the Council of Veterans of Microdistrict No. 11 Kalenina Polina Fedorovna told about the years of childhood that fell on the war hard times.

Of course, it is difficult for the current generation to seriously understand what war is. They will understand a lot later. But many young people already today tend to understand this, the desire to know this pain, to cause it on themselves ... creative work presented by a participant of the 20th regional children's festival"My Pushkin" Golubeva Anastasia, student of the Humanitarian Lyceum No. 15 "The terrible years of the war - the terrible years of the blockade."

On behalf of the current defenders, representatives of the 76th Guards Airborne Assault Division - participants in the hostilities in Kosovo, Chechnya, Georgia, Major Frolov Alexei Vasilievich and Captain Chernyakov Denis Sergeevich spoke. On May 8, on the eve of the Holiday, meetings with young readers were held at the Central Children's and Youth Library.

Hour of Courage"... And the children also won that war" visited by students of the 2nd grade of secondary school No. 9 (55 people).

The children heard fragments of diary entries and memories of their military childhood by Serpukhov workers, doctors, teachers, engineers... They met the war in different ages. Someone is very tiny, someone is a teenager, someone was on the verge of adolescence. Today's children saw the war through the eyes of those children.

Hour of Remembrance "What an immeasurable burden fell on women's shoulders" attended by students of the 7th grade of secondary school No. 5 (40 people).

The hosts of the meeting Alexandrova M. B. and Petrakova T. N. told the youth audience about the difficult fate of the Serpukhov girls - participants in the hostilities against the Nazi invaders. They were sappers, anti-aircraft gunners, snipers, traffic controllers, signalmen. Tamara Mikhailovna Barulina, Iraida Fedorovna Evstratova, Galina Apollonovna Mazova, Tamara Nikolaevna Baranova, Maria Konstantinovna Rumyantseva, Serafima Konstantinovna Abroskina - selfless war workers - took the wounded under fire, provided assistance, saved lives.

Many Serpukhov women, such as Anna Alekseevna Chugunkina, did not return home from the war.

Woman and war... Both of these words female, but how incompatible they are ... We must always remember this. We must not forget at what cost the Victory was won.

On May 7, in the branch library No. 34, a literary and poetic composition “There are no nameless heroes here, and there are no unknown soldiers” was held, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the final lifting of the blockade of Leningrad.

The feat of Leningrad will not fade for centuries, the 900-day defense of which is an unforgettable story of courage.

Students were invited to the meeting primary school and people of the older generation, among whom was the siege Krasnobaeva Antonina Fedorovna. Her memories of the difficult days in Leningrad touched the listeners: how hunger arose, how dying at the machine tools, the workers made tanks, shells, how with trembling hands the mother divided the daily norm of bread for hungry children - 125g into 3 parts. It is impossible to forget this.

The listeners learned about the courage and heroism of the Soviet soldiers and the population, about the "Road of Life", about the flight from the Pulkovo Heights of the troops of the Third Reich from the conversation of the library employee Finogenova G.N.

There are ditches in the streets, barricades,

The trenches at the very gates.

In the iron nights of Leningrad

Out of town he quietly goes

And he sees: rockets take off,

Fire night dawn.

There are enemy pickets lurking,

German animals of the camp.

The defense of the city became a national affair. The city lived, worked and fought heroically. About 1.5 million people were awarded the medal "For the Defense of Leningrad". At the end of January 1944, the city was completely liberated from the enemy blockade.

After a volley, a volley thunders a salute,

Rockets in hot air

Blooming flowers are variegated.

And the Leningraders are crying quietly.

Their joy is great

But the pain

She spoke and broke through:

For the fireworks

With you

Paul - Leningrad did not rise.

With a sense of pride about the Victory, the poems were read by young readers Mikhantyeva Sofia, Bazik Elizaveta. Guests of the older generation Filimonova N.F. and Pichkuleva G.A. recalled their military childhood.

Then the guests gathered for round table near the samovar and sang songs and recited poems about the war.

It is especially important to know about feats, big and small. The memory of the people cannot forget that war - the price of the Victory was too high. That's why we write this word - with a capital letter.

"There was a war ... There was a Victory!" - the hour of courage on the occasion of the Victory Day was held by the staff of the branch library No. 1 on the basis of secondary school No. 5.

Students learned that the Great Patriotic War raised not only the entire adult population of the country to fight against the Nazis. Along with adults, those who proudly wore a pioneer tie took part in various operations.

Children listened with particular interest to the exploits of pioneer heroes such as Lenya Golikov, Zina Portnova, Valya Kotik, Marat Kazei, Volodya Dubinin, who showed courage and steadfastness, loyalty to the Motherland and people.

There was also information about the life of the Leningrad schoolgirl Tanya Savicheva and the history of her diary, which was presented as a document accusing fascism at the Nuremberg trials.

Attention was also paid to the symbol of Victory - the St. George ribbon.

The children actively answered the librarian's questions and shared their knowledge on the topic.

The event was complemented by a book exhibition "The Harsh Colds of Their Childhood", as well as a slide show on the topic.

The memory of the Great Patriotic War and its heroes will live forever in the grateful hearts of our people. It is immortalized in books, poems, songs, street names, monuments, museums, feature films and documentaries.

Such events bring up respect for the heroic past of our Motherland.
