Project children of the arctic preschool education. "Children of the Arctic" will have a rest in Anapa. Stages of project implementation

Neighbors in the Arctic zone turn to Yamal for experience in organizing pre-school training for little tundra dwellers. The developments of our teachers are also of interest to foreign partners. Why is the nomadic school so attractive?

CATCH, FISH, ACCORDING TO THE RULES

Experts have recently seen how preschool children are taught in the Purovskaya tundra. They came as part of the project “Children of the Arctic. Preschool education”, in which Yamal acts as a pilot site.

At the Chebachye camp, specialists visited groups with a five-hour work schedule. Children eat and rest at home, so it is not required to equip bedrooms and kitchen units. The time spent with the teacher is filled with educational and didactic games, acquaintance with the Russian language and communication in the native language.

At the seasonal nomadic school at the Medvezhya Gora camp, the guests saw how students from the Kharampur boarding school are trying to keep up with their village peers. Classes go according to all the rules, with answers at the blackboard. At the same time, teachers cover not only the compulsory course, but also take into account the peculiarities of the customs and traditions of the indigenous population. At the fragment of the lesson, the children talked about folk omens forest Nenets, easily listed the wild plants collected by their parents.

At the boarding school itself, the experts were given a tour in Russian, Nenets and English, taught to sew crafts made of cloth and leather. Another lesson was devoted to fishing: after the theory, adults were invited ashore to practice catching pike and perch. As the teachers explained, various classes from the ethnopedagogics cycle are held at the boarding school. After school, such knowledge allows children to find a job in national communities.

ZERO CLASSES CLOSED - AND WON

The people of Yamal share all the achievements with great willingness, because when in 2011 nomadic education was organized in Yamal, the experience of the neighboring Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) was very useful. There, in remote uluses, nomadic schools for primary and secondary students were already operating. They have a status legal entity, and such an example was interesting, said Grigory Lymar, head of the department for regional development of education.

However, in our region we decided to go our own way, giving priority to pre-school preparation, as well as seasonal classes for students from the first to the fourth grades. The choice was more than prudent: the new law on education, which came into force in 2013, made preschool education part of the general, and therefore - mandatory.

Zero classes in boarding schools, where six-year-olds were prepared for their upcoming studies, were closed.

The load at that age was too great: the kids had difficulty getting used to life away from their parents, language environment, culture of life, unusual food in canteens. The new opportunity to prepare for the first grade without leaving the parents and the camp has become a great way to adapt children to the upcoming changes in a gentle way.

The teachers immediately noticed the result: the young nomads began to get used to the new place faster and study better.

Another plus of the regional project is quite adequate initial investments. Teachers are “assigned” to kindergartens in settlements, and their salaries include an increased coefficient from the fund of allowances and additional payments.

NEIGHBORS ORDER A SECOND LANDING

Now the Yakuts are interested in the Yamal experience of preparing nomad children for school. During a trip to the camps, we were convinced that such an organization educational process does not require.

By the way, regional developments also helped neighbors from the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The first nomadic group worked there this summer; students of the Social and Humanitarian College became teachers in it. The inhabitants of the camp liked the idea very much and asked to open a group next summer.

As a result, experts rated nomadic education as excellent.

The experience of Yamal was recognized as worthy of replication for the regions of Russia and the countries of the Arctic zone.

Interest in this form educational service due to the struggle to preserve the native languages of the indigenous peoples of the North and their traditional way of life.

YAKUTAM LOOKED WITH THE PRESCHOOL "CHIP"

Elena Ivanova, Deputy Minister for sustainable development Indigenous Peoples, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia):

International project “Children of the Arctic. Preschool Education" allows you to study the experience of other regions Russian Federation. Nomadic kindergartens are a unique Yamal feature. We would like to adopt and implement this experience in Yakutia. Nomadic education in Yakutia has been going on since the beginning of the 90s: there are schools, but kindergartens have not been implemented. The people of Yamal are rich in large-scale ideas, you have very good initiatives.

FUCKING LESSONS WITH AN EXCELLENT OUTLOOK

Natalia Medina, Associate Professor, Department of Pedagogy and educational psychology Faculty of Psychology, St. Petersburg University:

I was pleasantly surprised: your model of nomadic education is built on humanistic principles, everything is done for the benefit of the younger generation. This is especially important, since the preservation of the unique features of small peoples is on the agenda.

We have seen how various practices work. For example, the involvement of children of non-indigenous peoples in the study of the traditions and culture of the original inhabitants of the tundra is a magnificent platform for the Arktorium ethnopark in Novy Urengoy. We saw interested parents whose children are preparing for school and studying there right in the chum. We talked with the kids, they have an excellent outlook, they are comprehensively developed, and the teachers are friendly and professional. All this is noted in the expert assessment.

THE SUCCESS OF NOMAD EDUCATION INSPIRED CANADA

The expert group shared their impressions of the trip to Yamal in Finland. And then she found followers.

The report was presented at a meeting of the working group on sustainable development under the Arctic Council. The successful experience of the Yamal residents was proposed to be broadcast in other territories. As a result of the discussion, Canada expressed its desire to become a partner in the Children of the Arctic project, and even earlier Finland and Norway showed interest.

In our country, this is the first project in the field of education for children of the indigenous peoples of the Arctic zone, which Russia has been implementing since joining an international organization in 1996. It is implemented under the auspices federal agency on affairs of nationalities in five regions: the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Yugra, Yakutia, the Komi Republic and the Arkhangelsk Region.

Main tasks - analysis of the best educational practices, development educational program And teaching materials for teachers of nomadic schools. All information will appear on the international Internet resource of the same name, the Federal Agency for Nationalities of the Russian Federation reports.

Within the framework of the International Forum "The Arctic - the Territory of Dialogue", the heads of five constituent entities of the Russian Federation, in whose territories indigenous peoples leading a nomadic lifestyle live, the head of the Association of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and Far East The Russian Federation Grigory Ledkov and the head of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs Igor Barinov signed a road map for the implementation of a new project “Children of the Arctic. Preschool education". The document was signed by the Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Kobylkin.

The main goal of the document is to study and improve the effectiveness of programs in the field of teaching children from among indigenous peoples, introducing them into their upbringing best practices. And the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug will become a pilot region for the implementation of the international project "Children of the Arctic", in which Finland and Norway will also take part.

The initiative to develop the project belongs to the Federal Agency for Nationalities and the Association of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation, the head of the Agency Igor Barinov presented the project and invited the heads of the regions to support it.

Project “Children of the Arctic. Preschool education” aims to assess educational methods in the field of preparing children from the indigenous peoples of the Arctic zone of Russia for entering school and the search for effective approaches to integrating children into the system general education while maintaining the traditional way of life. It is noted that experts from the member states of the Arctic Council will study the most successful programs that provide study of the state and national history, native and state languages, as well as obtaining and preserving knowledge about the traditions of the peoples of the Far North.

The Governor of the YaNAO noted that such attention to the project is extremely important for the Yamal region. “We outlined the task of providing the children of reindeer herders and fishermen who are with their parents in the tundra with everything necessary for preschool education six years ago. Gradually we go to its decision. And, of course, the experience of other regions and countries will be useful to us. Although in Lately more and more often they come to us for experience,” said Dmitry Kobylkin, noting that the assistance and coordination of the project from the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs of the Russian Federation “will be indispensable”.

Our reference. The constant movement of tundra dwellers, changing the location of the camp do not allow preschoolers to go to stationary kindergartens and prepare for school. The Yamal program "Nomadic School" has become one of the ways to solve this problem. Currently, on the territory of the Yamal region, education is provided in places of nomadic 22 educational organizations: 17 kindergartens and five schools. Over 200 children of nomads are enrolled in nomadic education. For organization educational process, mainly used mobile housing of the indigenous peoples of Yamal - chum and modular buildings in small rural settlements or at hunting camps, in fishing camps. As a result of the search for the most effective ways of organizing education in the nomadic places on Yamal, various models of nomadic education have developed (semi-stationary school; nomadic school; stationary model, when the education of small tundra dwellers takes place in specially built tents or modular buildings; visiting teacher and seasonal nomadic school in the summer).

To support the Nomadic School project in Yamal, funds were allocated for the purchase of Nomadic Teacher equipment kits and the purchase of snowmobiles for nomadic schools in the Priuralsky, Tazovsky and Purovsky districts. Training of nomadic teachers and educators was organized in the Yamal multidisciplinary college. Modular buildings of nomadic schools were purchased, equipped with all necessary equipment, including satellite systems connections. Grants have been allocated for the implementation of innovative projects for the development of nomadic forms of education. For nomadic teachers and educators developed teaching aids new generation.

Intermediate results of the implementation of the "Nomadic School" project show that the coverage of preschool education among the children of the tundra is growing. Teachers note that this form of training greatly facilitates the adaptation of children when entering school and contributes to greater student success. Children receive pre-school education without losing communication skills at mother tongue while preserving the cultural and historical traditions and customs of the indigenous people.

Project "Children of the Arctic"

Topic: "Formation of pupils' ideas about the features of life and culture of the indigenous peoples of the North"

Brief summary of the project:

This project is designed for older children. preschool age. It contributes to the formation of moral and patriotic feelings, relationships with peers and adults, respect for nature, traditions, culture and life of the indigenous peoples of the North.

Patriotic education is understood as the interaction between an adult and children in joint activities and communication, which is aimed at the disclosure and formation in the child of universal moral qualities personality, familiarization with the origins of the national regional culture, the nature of the native land, the upbringing of an emotionally effective attitude, a sense of belonging, attachment to others.

Relevance:

The Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug owes its name to the indigenous people - Khanty and Mansi, these people have long lived on the land that was called Yugra.

The word "hunt", in translation means "man", so the word "KHANTY" is translated as people.

These people have long lived on the land, which was called Ugra or Yugoria back in the 11th-15th centuries.

Now Yugra - a short and sonorous name, covered with the romance of antiquity, is returning to use again and is increasingly being used as the unofficial name of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug.

Our region - Ugra - is ancient and harsh, amazingly beautiful and generous, known for a long time for many northern curiosities: berries, mushrooms, plants, animals.

Thanks to the district, Russia is the first in the world in gas production, the second in oil production.

Khanty - Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - the northern region of Russia.

Land of rivers, lakes and swamps. The total number of rivers in the Autonomous Okrug is about 30 thousand, and about 290 thousand lakes.

Most of the year here falls on winter: frosty, snowy, blizzard. The days are short, gloomy, the sun is hidden behind a layer of clouds. But gradually the sun appears on the horizon more and more often, and finally, a short summer comes.

Yugra land is a land that surprises with its beauty, generosity and grandeur. The rich history of Ugra, the very spirit of this land, truly philosophical and wise, are conducive to a leisurely narration, reflection on the past, present and future. We are obliged to preserve this priceless heritage for posterity, to make it the basis recent history a land that we proudly call our home. IN last years we often began to face the fact that in society there was a steady tendency towards the loss of universal human values and towards the widespread indifference, disrespectful attitude towards the state, the motherland. It became relevant to form patriotic feelings from early childhood.

The feeling of the Motherland begins with admiration for what the child sees in front of him, what he is amazed at and what evokes a response in his soul. And although many impressions are not yet deeply realized by him, but, passed through baby heart, they play a huge role in the formation of the personality of a patriot of their homeland.

The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in Article 29 emphasizes "... the need to cultivate respect for the cultural identity of the country in which the child lives, language, national values ..."
The Law of the Russian Federation "On Education" (Article 29 Part 5 and Article 14 Part 4) states that the content of education should promote mutual understanding and cooperation between people and nations, regardless of national and ethical affiliation.

The draft National Doctrine of Education in the Russian Federation emphasizes that “The education system is designed to ensure the education of Russian patriots, citizens of a legal democratic, welfare state respecting the rights and freedom of the individual, possessing high morality and showing national and religious tolerance”.

V.A. Sukhomlinsky argued that childhood is an everyday discovery of the world and therefore it is necessary to make sure that it becomes, first of all, the knowledge of man and the Fatherland, their beauty and greatness. Huge contribution R.I. Zhukovskaya, N.V. Vinogradova, E.I.the child of a citizen of his homeland is inseparable from the education in him of humane feelings: kindness, justice, the ability to resist lies and cruelty.

These studies determined the approach to the moral and patriotic education of preschoolers on the basis of local history material. Our project is aimed at educating pupils about the features of life and culture of the indigenous peoples of the North

The project includes materials for events with children, consultations for parents, outdoor games for children.
