Completion of the project - Verkhnevilyuisky ulus, April 2017. Passed advanced training courses on the basis of the Republican Verkhnevilyuisk boarding school, where the first physics and mathematics school was opened in Yakutia. The 1st Open Championship in Mathematics was held, the absolute winner of which was the teacher of the Nyurba Technical Lyceum N.N.Nikolaev. Competition of pedagogical skills with the use of innovative forms of education "M.A. Alekseev Cup" (initiator A.A. Semenov, teacher of physics at the Oktem Lyceum). The work of creative workshops and meetings with the laureates of the State Prize named after the People's Teacher of the USSR M.A.Alekseev I.I. The project evoked a wide response from the pedagogical community; it covers all uluses and districts of the republic. New names of creatively working teachers who continue the ideas and traditions of Mikhail Andreevich Alekseev have been discovered.

As a result of the project, proposals were adopted to strengthen the practical orientation of education, introduce a system of personalized advanced training for subject teachers, disseminate the methodological experience of the best teachers of the republic at the Russian and international levels.
Currently in modern schools there is a demand for teachers who are sincerely dedicated to their work, passing on to students not only knowledge and skills, but also universal human values. Such an example for many generations of teachers forever became the People's Teacher of the USSR Mikhail Andreevich Alekseev.

Association “Pupils of M.A. Alekseev – People’s Teacher of the USSR” an attempt was made to collect in one publication, consisting of two volumes, articles methodological developments, letters of an outstanding teacher, people's teacher of the USSR M.A. Alekseev, as well as the memoirs of his colleagues and students.

At the initial stage of this work, we naively believed that the book would cover all facets of our Master's life. As the deadline for completing the work on the book approached, the understanding of the absolute hopelessness of the implementation of this truly noble plan became more and more clear. It turned out that, in addition to such subjective factors as a chronic lack of time, budgetary funds, as well as a lack of creative opportunities, there are fundamental factors hindering the implementation of such an ambitious plan.

The first reason comes from the gigantic scale of Mikhail Andreevich's personality. Possessing some kind of supernatural abilities, he managed to directly influence the fate of tens of thousands of people. Imagine how many people kept and keeps good memories of him. As we worked on the book, we learned that by collecting materials about the life of M.A. Dozens of people have been or are engaged in Alekseev, and they realized that collecting all this information, comprehending and melting it down in the form of pages of this publication is beyond our capabilities.

The second reason is the incredible complexity of the fate of Mikhail Andreevich. The story that played out in 1985 in Verkhnevilyuysk, which forced Mikhail Andreevich to leave his beloved school and move to Vilyuysk, is an eternal drama of the struggle between light and darkness, an endless conflict between good and evil. For many of us, this is still like an unhealed wound. We must admit that, unfortunately, we did not manage to find such a salutary point of view from which it would be possible, at least for any significant part of the persons involved in those events, painlessly, but truthfully, to illuminate the most dramatic part of the Teacher's life. Apparently, the time has not yet come when it will be possible to speak about all aspects of the life of the Teacher as openly and freely as we now calmly discuss the irreconcilable conflict of the great Socrates with the Athenian fellow citizens of that era or the history of the rebellion of the frantic Giordano Bruno against medieval inertia.

Completing work on the publication of the two-volume book, we are fully aware of the shortcomings of our work indicated above, and yet we hope that we have overcome at least a step on the way to creating an integral image of Mikhail Andreevich. We are confident that future generations of researchers will be able to more boldly and vividly reveal the huge rift that existed between inner world Mikhail Andreevich and the harsh reality that surrounded him. Only then will the picture become clear, showing what titanic efforts the great teacher had to make in order for the life values ​​he suffered to become the common property, and the world around us became the way we know it.
