The greatest difficulties at the stage of implementation of the Federal State Educational Standards are associated with the development of control and evaluation tools (hereinafter referred to as CBS), which are designed to determine the readiness of the student to perform a certain type of activity reflected in the professional module.

Certain requirements are imposed on the development of control and evaluation tools. Namely:

1. The development and design of the CBS is carried out according to the layout.

2. The list of KOS indicators should be compiled taking into account the knowledge, skills and practical experience of the student indicated in the module program.

3. Tasks for testing theoretical knowledge in an interdisciplinary course (hereinafter MDT) and an exam (qualification) in a professional module should be competence-oriented and assess both professional and general competencies.

4. Pay attention to the correctness of the formulation of indicators. In accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard, a graduate who has mastered the OBEP SVE must have general and professional competencies corresponding to the types of professional activity. Therefore, a mandatory application to the work programs of professional modules should be such control and evaluation tools that will allow you to assess their formation.

Intermediate certification of students in the professional module as a whole is carried out in the form of an exam (qualification) and allows you to determine the readiness to perform the relevant type of professional activity and the professional competencies that ensure it, as well as the development of general competencies provided for the OBEP as a whole.The optimal method for assessing the formation of competencies at the qualification exam is the demonstration of skills and knowledge (competencies) in the workplace or in conditions that simulate workplace. Evidence of the development of competencies can serve as:

  • product produced by the student;
  • activities of the student (under the supervision of the assessor);
  • video recordings of the student's activities;
  • audio recordings;
  • deliverables from assignments, including projects;
  • answers to written (oral) questions;

If the result indicator is a product of practical activity, then a reference to the quality standard of this product (for example, GOST) should be provided.

Evaluation assignments must meet the following requirements: the assignment must be clearly described, including the required time; it should be aimed at testing the development of specific competencies of the module; the task must be provided with the necessary resources; the description of the assignment should include requirements for the presentation of the results of the assignment; the job description should contain the evaluation criteria.

The condition for admission to the exam (qualification) is the successful mastering by students of all elements of the program of the professional module: the theoretical part of the module (MDK) and educational and industrial practices. Evaluation tools accompanying the implementation of each EPOR SVE should be developed to check the quality of the formation of competencies and be an effective tool not only for assessment, but also for training.
